My girlfriend and I attended this location for a Saturday night dinner. The service here was smashing. Our servers maintained a lovely demeanor and the food arrived in a timely manner. The beef gyoza and katsu ramen were of the highest quality. The pricing here leaves no room for competition as our tab was only 33 dollars for an appetizer and two sizable bowls of ramen (including chicken and egg).

The only things preventing a 5-star rating would be the inability to make reservations ahead of time as in the late hours of the evening the restaurant seems to have high traffic. This leads to large wait times in a relatively small establishment. Some of the seating leaves more to be desired as you can be positioned extremely close to the table next to you or directly adjacent to the door (leading to unwanted traffic moving behind you and a windy breeze if it’s cold out). Because of its relatively small design, servers are in a rush to get you out as fast as possible in order to seat the next party (understandably). Lastly, parking in the area becomes a difficulty during peak hours but this is not up to the restaurants control.

Overall, this location maintains the feeling of an authentic ramen house. The aura is lively and can give you exactly what you need if you’re looking for a simple night out. The food is great and is complimented by a great...

To be honest they deserve a 2.5 instead of a 2 but since we can't rate in halfs, I'll round it down.

The service wasn't up to par. As soon as the waitress cam by my wife and I ordered drinks, which never arrived.

For appetizers we ordered the Takoyaki (Octopus rolled into a ball). This Takoyaki tasty oily and didn't have enough Octopus, only good thing was the sauce it spread on top of it.

My wife got the Tonkatsu Ramen, the portion of pork was minuscule, it wasn't good, the broth was OK.

I got a Katsu Don (breaded pork with rice). Katsu Don's comes with a soy based sauce on the side but this one did not, just plain breaded pork. I looked at my wife and told her "Perhaps they'll bring the sauce shortly". I waited, and waited, well my food was getting cold so I decided to eat the plain breaded pork without the sauce and halfway through my meal a lady (I'm assuming the manager) mentioned to me "You don't like the sauce?" I'm like "What sauce? I didn't get any". Well she immediately ordered one of the waitresses to bring me the sauce but by that time I was done and disappointed. We are still waiting on our drinks.

We left saying to ourselves "We will never come back here again, there's no need when there's better Ramen and service at Santuka in Mitsuwa and Fujiya...

Since we step foot in the place, the manager was so rude, we had to wait 30min to sit in a table even though we had called 5 hours before to make a reservation. People who came after us got seated and served before us. Once we got a table, He was rushing us the whole time and making the waitress come to our table every 5 minutes. Once we ordered the appetizers, he came to our table once again telling us that he had 20 more people waiting for a table, We told him we had already ordered but the food didn’t come yet.. ofc he didn’t know what to say. I had noticed that he was only rushing my table. He didn’t go around telling other tables this just mine. At the end, he brought the bill without us asking for it; we were planning on getting dessert, when we told him that, he had the audacity to ask us if it was for “to go”, we told him that we were planning on having dessert there... very disappointed that the manager did all that, he’s supposed to lead the rest and he wasn’t giving a good example. However, the young lady that was our waitress for the night was always making sure we had everything and didn’t hurry us on anything. Overall, the food was ok but terrible customer service from...

A very pretty restaurant located at main dining area of Ridgewood. They provide both indoor and outdoor seating. We started of with Spicy Kanin(crab) & Chicken buns and Takoyaki. Buns were good, but was little sad to see it only came with lettuce protein and the buns. Adding some sort of sauce would have made a positive impact on the taste. Takoyaki was excellent, creamy with loads of Octopus. We tried the Curry Ramen with chicken katsu and Donkatsu Ramen. Chicken katsu tasted delicious with curry ramen soup, but the curry ramen had very overwhelming taste. Next time I’d go with the chicken ramen. The pork in Donkatsu could have been more tender. At the end of ours meal, we got try some complementary spicy wings. I loved the crispiness and spicy level of the wings. Overall a nice soulful place to enjoy some good ramen and wings.

everytime we come here we always get the takoyaki. they really do have one of the best - texture, flavor, execution and portion! every single ball always has a nice chunk of octopus and we love it! they are also known for their ramen. So far their kimchi ramen and tonkotsu stood out for us in flavor and was enjoyable to eat. Their pork katsu is pretty good as well - Meaty and crunchy! recently ive tried their spicy pork bowl and it was also delicious! i love that the spice level is tolerable and it has that hint of sweetness in the pork. This is one of those go-to spots in Ridgewood so it can get busy and crowded - hopefully you’d be willing to wait and enjoy the meal like we did.
