Brickhouse Music — Local services in River Falls

There’s nothing better than a genuinely awesome locally owned music store. I swear every time I go in there, I look at everything. The staff has always been incredibly friendly and helpful. This last spring I added a new instrument to my instrumental repertoire. A five string Deering Banjo. Being somewhat new to the instrument, you can imagine I’ve had some pretty elementary questions along the way. All of which have been answered and addressed in such an encouraging manner. I’ve been to a lot of music shops around the country that have a stuffy stuck up feel and this is definitely not one of them. I’ll go out of my way to give these guys my business. Yesterday I popped in to see if I couldn’t get help with a buzzing that had recently developed in my instrument. Tony took it to his bench and 15 minutes later, it felt like I was playing a brand new instrument. I definitely can say they stand behind their products. Really great store. Their selection is awesome...really well thought out inventory (high end gear for those who want it, inexpensive gear for those new to music). And lots of variety. I'm always impressed when I see a local store that can accommodate just about everybody.

I checked some prices and they were the same as online retailers. I've learned over the years (learned the hard way) that you really have to play a guitar before you buy it, you can't just order it online or you could get something that looks cool but is difficult to play. I'm really grateful places like this still exist so you can go in and try a bunch of different guitars to find the right one, and have somebody who can answer questions. I would like to thank you for me being able to make one of my 17year old daughters Christmas. She writes music put only ever had note books. She has always wanted manuscript paper. And yes I know I could have bought it online through something like Amazon but I wanted to keep the purchase in my community. I called and said all to a very helpful gentleman and I had asked if you guys had any in stock and he said yes there were several there however I was worried about you not having any left when I got paid, he said we should, and to make me not panic I asked him to pull one aside for me.
