This is a great modern building! Clean and open, lots of natural light. Free Wifi. I'll start with food, and finish with the building amenities.
The food is VERY good for college food (9/10). Meal plans are around $7 per meal (average among most midwest college campuses). Outsiders be ready to pay $11 to enter the all you can eat commons. Like any college, students do get tired of the food, but as far as college food goes, this is the best of the best. I have been to a lot of college campuses to review their climate, this was noticeably better than other pubic and private schools in Minnesota and Wisconsin, unexpected at a campus with relatively lower tuition costs. Students will tell you the pizza is really good, stay away from the chicken (several students had that warning). Coke and pepsi products, milk, non dairy milk, tea, coffee, juice, flavored water, lots of choices. Breakfast is always available (yes to the cereal and waffles, like a hotel). Sandwiches were not available when I ate here, but the pulled pork they served as a hot entree was very good. I did need to remind staff to refill condiments and the beverages were not all available. Very good options for people who have special dietary needs (this was very impressive, the vegan food was very good, gluten free pizza and bread options). Not sure if the meat is kosher or halal, but this campus does teach humane animal care and slaughter practices so I thought it was a safe assumption. Very clean environment and a good place to study or meet up with friends. I can't eat ice cream, but I was not surprised how many students had it for dessert both soft serve and traditional scoop. The chocolate chip cookie dough was by far the most popular (ice cream made on campus). Dessert in general was outstanding. Al a carte fast food style is available during certain times with a lot of options including sushi (was not expecting that).
The rooms are really nice in this building. Good place to host formal events good for weddings or banquets, conferences, or bingo. Rooms are available for training or board meetings. There is an auditorium which also serves as a movie theater. The Falcons Nest is a great place to attend a concert, live jazz, or host a beer garden. Don't forget to stop by the Falcon Shop to pick up your swag! Building is wheel chair accessible, but the elevator is not so large, it is sometimes hard to find a push button to open a door. Parking is a small walk, and the lot is medium sized (pay to park). Drop off anyone with mobility issues at the door, then park. This campus does do a good job...
