Yesterday I went in and purchased party supplies. There’s a wide selection, but no prices on anything and it looks as though they were pulled off since there was part of the tags still on. Today I went in because yesterday I purchased four bags of Wilton White Chocolate melts. I’ve used them many times, purchasing at either Michaels or Joanns and have never had a problem with them. The first bag just would not go smooth, it was lumpy and I ruined the cookies I was trying to cover. I did not over cook it. I know how to use the product. Thinking it was just a bad batch, I opened a second bag and tried again, using about a small amount of the bag. Same thing. Lumpy. So today I took the two full unopened bags and the third bag I had opened back to let them know there was a problem, a bad batch. The first employee said I could only be refunded for the two bags. I told her it was a bad batch and I had purchased four and could I talk to a manager. So she grabbed it and walked behind the balloon station and was talking to someone. I could see there were four employees back there. I spoke up saying it was probably a bad batch and maybe they’d want to contact the company. There was a gentleman there, who appeared as though he was a manger, and when he was talked to, he came out saying he had to go. He never talked to me. So another person came out, she had blonde unkempt hair and said put your card in, in a not so friendly voice. So I did and as she was putting the info in her register, not once telling me what was going on. Then she either threw the bags one at a time on the floor or in a bag that was on the floor. And I mean threw or slammed them down. I then asked her if she was mad. She said no and said I’m refunding you for three bags, gave me my receipt and walked away. Wow!! What happened to good customer service? Maybe she should be retrained or should have stayed in school to work at her dream job because believe me, she...
Read moreZurchers irritated me today. I have a party coming up and so I needed some party supplies. I checked their website and it said that all the items I was looking for were there and in stock. I drove down to the store and wopdey do non of the items it said were in stock were there. I was looking for Cotton Candy cones. I asked the associate if I was looking in the right area. She said if I have them they'll be on isle 1. So I checked there again. Still none of them. So I got some more things I probably didn't need. Up at checkout what really bothered me was we asked again and they said no we don't and you're the second people that have asked today. The other cheerer said that there been out of them for a long time, and continued to say that their website takes a minute to update. So I don't know what is the case. So I guess if you ever want to come for a certain item don't check the website and probably don't count that it will be there, this irritated me today. I feel like if you have a website make sure you add to it something that it says could be out of stock or a select few in store....
Read moreWe went in for two sets of mask/cape combo. Nothing fancy, just plain. After walking around for some time, we approached an employee. After explaining what we needed, she told us, in a flat, annoyed tone to go somewhere else because they don’t have that. No alternative suggestions. She didn’t even point us to the “superhero” aisle (which would have made sense considering our ask). She was dismissive, but honest. They didn’t have it. We found something that worked for our needs though. When we checked out, the clerk finished the payment portion and walked away. I don’t recall if she greeted us, but I know she didn’t say of the standard retail closing comments when the transaction was done. (We have both worked retail so we know the whole spiel.) She left our purchases on the counter. I started to ask if we could have a bag and instead, my spouse just grabbed a bag and did it himself. She may have thought we were wearing the items at that time and didn’t need a bag, but we weren’t and the way to figure that out was to ask. It was disappointing. I’ll just order the stuff off the...
