Worst night for me and my sister. My total came out to $30 so I had a prepaid card not a CREDIT CARD, and for the manager that was rude to me and my sister that means that I have to manually put money in myself in the card. So I put the exact total in my card to pay for my meal and gave it to the waitress, she came back and said that it only charged $27.80 and that I still owe more. So I checked that bank card and sure enough, it did charge me the full amount and including an extra $1.98 for some reason. So I overpaid for my meal, I showed the waitress and she went to get the manger. I didn’t get her name but she was a heavy set girl with glasses and a ponytail. She was wearing a flower blouse. She came and told me that the system only got $27.80 and I tried telling her that it’s a prepaid card and you guys took the amount out and it went through. She said well sometimes credit cards out holds on cards and I tried explaining to her over 5 different times that it’s not a CREDIT CARD it’s a PREPAID card meaning I manually put money in myself and it doesn’t do holds, once it charges it goes through that’s it. She didn’t wanna hear and made me and my sister feel stupid and humiliated. She went and got a piece of paper showing me what it charged after showing her multiple times that it did go through and that it wasn’t a credit card. She rudely told me she’d cover it but then said “watch the charge will come back” with a rude tone and a rude attitude. I’m so upset that they have managers like her treating and disrespecting customers that way. I called that cards bank to double check and sure enough it went through fully and they didn’t understand why they were having trouble over there with my card. They said if I would have paid that extra amount I’d be overpaying them. They also explain to me they don’t do holds for my type of card and didn’t understand why the manager kept insisting that it was a credit card. Worst experience ever, horrible manager, pretty much told me I was stupid and she was in the right. I hope upper manager deals with her attitude so this doesn’t happen again, thanks heavy lady for ruining my night with my family.
Update: Spoke to guest relations and it looks like they talked to the said manager and looks like she understood what she did wrong. Got an apology and i’m glad it got sorted out. Changed my 1 star to a 5 star due to the helpful response I...
Read moreToday I had a terrible experience at this oliver garden when me and my family and freind trying to have lunch after the college graduation commencement. It was not because we didnt get a good food at here, but because there were actually no one willing to take us to service! Unbelievably unprofessional staffing as the service I had never experienced in any other oliver gardens.
So a group of three of us walked in and waited at the door trying to be seated today at lunch time. And we were the first in line to dine in as of then. The restaurant was a bit busy as a weekday lunch time but definitely not very packed. There were FIVE waitress standing at the counter near the door, one of them I suppose to be the one reponsible for seating customers, but she was on phone. The rest of the FOUR ladies stood there, chatting with each other. Some of them definitely saw us, and the girl on the phone I am pretty sure she saw us too, but they acted like there were no one stood at the door wating. I am not sure what happend to this place today, was there some kinda emergency going on that they have to take care of and dont take any new customers?? Very strange. NO ONE even was trying to talk to us when we stood at the door for the entire almost 10 minutes. Some of them stood there chatting and some running around with ipads. They just completely ignored us!! We are a group of three so it is gvery hard not to see us standing right in front of them. Unbelievale that not a single of them told us that some one will attend to us shortly and told us to wait for a bit. I understood today might be a busier day, and I was more than happy to wait for a seat. Both of my friend and family were disappointed and surprised by the service attitude here and we all end up agree leaving for other places. Before leaving, still, no one has talked to us.
I rate Utah people 12 out of 10 friendly than any other states that I lived before in States and especially here at Logan, but today's experience just got me confused and feel disrepectful. I am not sure if it was because all my group showed up as Asian faces or what so ever, I had no chance to figure it out, but I have never expereince something like this at other places here in Logan. First time and last time that I would visit Oliver Garden...
Read moreI love Olive Garden, but I was extremely let down today. I want to premise by saying I don't blame the server, as they seemed understaffed. Service started out really well, with us getting our food promptly. However, after initially receiving our food, we did not see our server again despite finishing our meals and drinks. When she did pop by she did not ask if we needed any refills (I had ordered the unlimited soup and really wanted a second bowl.) Instead she asked if we knew how to use the ziosk to pay, and after we said yes she took off to the kitchen before we could get a word in. I was a little upset, but decided we would just pay and leave. Unfortunately, the ziosk did not give us an option to pay. Our server was nowhere to be found, so we pressed the button requesting our server. The ziosk flashed for about 10 minutes, during which we tried to flag down another employee, but we were ignored. When our server finally did arrive, I asked if I could get my second soup to go. I was told that would be an extra charge, which didn't make sense to me as I have been able to in the past. The server simply said that she doesn't set the prices. I declined to be charged for another soup and gave her my card to pay. About 5 minutes later she came back and explained that they couldn't find our check. She asked us again what we had ordered, and then headed back to the kitchen. We had been wanting to pay and leave for almost 30 minutes when she returned and said that she had covered our meal. I was very grateful to get out of there.
I'm not sure I'll be returning to Olive Garden for a long while. I've never felt so ignored and less important than...
