Hello, to whom it my concern. I recently visited the Roanoke Virginia Best Buy store to inquire on a transaction that was showing up on my Best Buy Credit Card Statement which was showing it was purchased at the Roanoke Best Buy store location. I spoke with Courtney Bernardo (she is the Assistant Store Manager). Avoid working with her at all cost!! She is the rudest, most unkind person that I have ever attempted to work with at any Best Buy. The Assistant Store Manager will belittle you, make you feel stupid and never give you any answer upfront on what the concern you present. When trying to work with Courtney, she spoke over me and then blames me for speaking over her, when I addressed this she threatened to have me removed from the store. I work in customer service and am willing to give a lot of grace when it comes to customer service. But my experience with Courtney was inexcusable. She was pushy, argumentative and overall could not care less about my concern. This Assistant Store Manager threatened to have me escorted out of the store again for simply asking for the store manager or another manager to check and ensure that what she was sharing was right. I will never shop at The Roanoke Store ever gain and I advise against shopping at this store too until Courtney is removed from their management team. The General Store Manager just quit, if he had to work with Courtney on a daily basis, I do not Blame him, on that reason alone. I visited the store the next day and spoke with a general associate (Bobby) who was able to explain to me what was taking place and where the transaction came from. Even though my concern was addressed and resolved by a follow up visit to the store, my experience with the Assistant Store manager was shocking and completely and utterly destroyed my relationship with the Roanoke VA location. I have been a longtime loyal customer to this store and have spent well over $10,000 at this store alone over the past few years and have friends/family who have spent well over $30,000 at this one location over 1year. I am contacting corporate and the district manager to discuss the issue further and ensure proper disciplinary action is taken to ensure Courtney knows that has to treat every customer the way she wants to be treated and not like a waste of time that she does it even want to try and resolve the issue for and will have you escorted out of the store for simplest of request. Not happy Best...
Read moreBest Buy has totally forgotten where they came from and turned into a non flexible, non caring, giant mega store entity that is happy with the status quo and doing only what they want to, you can not get anything changed or done that falls outside of the typical need or transaction and basic simple interactions, don’t believe me then try calling them on the 540 number and talking to the store in Roanoke you can not and get transferred to some foreign customer service lines and they can not help with anything unique or dealing with the local Best Buy issues. That being said there really is no where to go in Roanoke to get the same size selection of electronics or their same as any manufacturer or competition pricing matching, their inventory is also the largest around, I’ll put it this way even if you buy a Samsung TV from Samsung they get you to pick it up at and use Best Buy’s stock and inventory, or if you need anything done with your Apple devices and want them to be Apple certified repairs or whatever you have to go here since there is not an Apple Store in Roanoke, so unfortunately they are here to stay and keep doing their new way of business as usual. It’s also not the local employees fault they are great and knowledgeable and hard working, my problem is with the corporate Best Buy and how it does not care about it’s customers like they used to or at all in my case they just always seem to “can’t do anything” about stuff and thats how monopolies and unbalanced trade markets do things. But as stated I use them and it’s frustrating but what are you gonna do if you want that new TV or computer. All the stores I have been in since like the 90s-2000s are all kinda still the same and not worn out but dated and old looking and so is this one it is like 30 years old, but it’s also got a giant hole in the entrance where someone ran into the building or they are adding a pickup center or something but it’s been that way for awhile for some reason, but don’t get me wrong it is not a dump or even bad really just kinda dated but it is also in a good location being in the valley view mall property and just about everything you could want is there and it’s nice for getting all your shopping done in one trip with Staples, Target, and Walmart right beside it, plenty of restaurants and on the...
Read moreI would give this Roanoke Va store a zero if I could. We purchased two Galexy S7 cell phones from them on July 7th. Our sales guy Mike told us we were getting a $100.00 gift card from Samsung with each phone. Mike told us they would email them to my husband's email. He also said we would not get any additional fees from Verizon, since we signed up for a 2 year contract. Well a few days later my bill from Verizon had a $90.00 activation fee he FAILED to tell us about. After a week without getting a email we made another trip to Best Buy in Roanoke and once again Mike told us he would take care of it. He was on the phone supposedly with customer service for a good half hour. Once again said to give it another week and we would receive an email with our gift card info. After waiting 2 weeks I contacted the store and spoke with the manager Courtney. She kindly apologized and said there was NOTHING she could do about it. So I contacted customer service headquarters again today. They said there NEVER was a promotion and they were sorry we were misrepresented. To make a long story short after being on the phone with Best Buy Corporate half the day they told me to contact the store manager and once again talking to Courtney who said "there was NOTHING she could do for us". She said it should have showed on our receipt, so it wasn't in writing. I trusted their sales guy and never thought twice about checking my receipt. Even though I purchased $1,000.00 in merchandise in her store in 2 days. I told her I was going to turn this over to the Attorney General's Office because her employee misrepresented us she didn't care. I said I was gonna take it civil and she said "I can no longer talk to you". I talked to Ryann with corporate and he handled our complaint like a true professional as well as Ana did early today. Ryann could only give us a $100.00 gift card to Best Buy because Courtney claims her employee Mike doesn't remember taking care of us....how convenient. I will never shop at this Roanoke store again we will make the drive to Christiansburg from now on. Courtney needs to learn how to talk to customers and show a little compassion instead of...
