I like the selection here; however, every time I come here I am charged incorrectly. I’m either charged for an extra plant or accessory or charged over what is priced. I always have to have them fix it. Which they are always annoyed by and rarely apologize for the mistake. It is extremely annoying for a customer. If it was once or twice, I would understand as people make mistakes but every time is not acceptable and makes me question the business practices. I have also noticed I have to ask several people to get accurate information on how to care for a specific plant. This would normally be ok but when I am given wrong information they make it seem as though they are 100% knowledgeable on it. Based on their information I have had 3 plants die and when I go back to ask about it I am told completely different information on how I was supposed to care for the plant. Giving bad care information for a $100+ plant is not ok. The employees are usually pretty friendly but having multiple bad experiences here and wasting hundreds of dollars, I will not be coming back. I have not had this experience at any other landscaping and plant nursery. I felt the need to write this review only to inform customers to double check receipts and make sure that they have accurate care...
Read moreWhile I appreciate the selection of plants and pots, I did not feel right in the store. I’ve been there two times, for at least an hour each visit looking for pots and plant stands, and not once did anyone ask me if they could help me, even though on each visit I made purchases in excess of $100. I found a plant stand that I liked, it wasn’t marked with a price, so I asked how much. After looking it up in the computer, I was given a price but another employee looked at me and said wait, let me see if there’s another one on the floor or in back. She came back and said there wasn’t another and she was concerned because the price I was quoted « looked like a good deal. ». She thought I should be paying more than the quoted price and didn’t feel comfortable selling it to me for the quoted price. It should have been more, in her estimation. She was not friendly, eyed me strange as if I was somehow to blame for the lower price and walked away without any niceties or civility. Wow. I did purchase the stand and another stand and I paid over $100. Yet, I was treated as if I were not worthy of this...
Read moreI engaged Sargent's to refresh my residential landscaping. That project came in at approximately $7500. At the time of the proposal, I thought I agreed to pay additionally $225 (before 8% tax)to have the plantings watered twice a week for two weeks. For what I was being charged, I think a follow up watering service should have been included in the project. What I came to discover is that Sargent's was charging me $243 for EACH of the four waterings bringing their charge to water a modest array of plantings to just under $1000 for four waterings. I think it would take a normal person about 20-25 minutes at most to accomplish the watering. You...
