WARNING: Don’t order door installation through Home Depot’s “pros.” The service and communication have been a nightmare. It has caused me undue stress and has been a huge waste of my time, effort, and money. Back in April, I paid $1,341.82 to get four doors installed for my rental unit. They don’t tell you how long it takes to get them, only that “someone will call you to schedule.” I had to wait about a month for them to get on the schedule and install (I was wide open). Grrr. Then, three of four doors (storm doors) were installed. They had a trainee do my doors, never asked my permission, but okay. They never let me know all doors need to be unlocked, not sure why, think this could have been done without entering the units. The communication was not good. Unfortunately, the tenant was not home and I couldn’t get a working key. So the trainer said we will take this door and come back. If this happens to you, DON’T LET THEM TAKE THE DOOR BACK. You now will need to pay an extra, undisclosed $75 fee, and they’ll hold your property you paid for hostage. Well….more waiting. Not the installers’ fault but corporate decided to switch software for installers. The installers are subcontractors. The software switch caused a total system shutdown where nobody’s work orders could even be worked on. That meant more delays for me, about a month. Hey, they used to do this stuff with pencil and paper. Grrr. This also meant delays for subs that need to meet payroll, stay busy, and make customers happy. I feel your pain! I hope the software IT folks get disciplined or get sued left, right, and sideways if they actually paid an outside consultant to do this. Thanks Home Depot!!! It’s now 6/23 and my 1–3pm install hasn’t happened, and is not showing up. I ordered these back in April. I could have easily done this myself. It isn’t rocket science or brain surgery. I figured I would save myself time. What a sick joke. I am beyond livid. I feel I should get a 100% refund. Btw, nobody explains any of the charges for extras like the $75 extra return fee, $170 in padding the contract for items that are probably of nominal cost. Just drop your pants and get bent over the barrel. Very unhappy, DO NOT RECOMMEND. No one let me talk to the store manager (Chuck), the original HD “millwork” salesperson guy Greg seems like he could care less, only people who have helped in anyway are Rachel the expediter and this woman named Dawn. Whenever there’s a problem at Home Depot, people flee and run away. I’ve literally made about 20-30 calls on this. I’m done, and I am cancelling. Enough with this sub-par contractor. On information and belief, I believe their name is “Doors 4 You.” You can pretty much guarantee the 1-year guarantee isn’t worth the paper it’s printer on either. This is a total 🤡 show.

Usually this store is great. Today I had a bad experience. Very poor customer services. The people had blank looks on their faces. I asked three times in one hour to be helped with no avail. Was avoided by two employees. I ended up purchasing the tool because of the online stock count. 5 min after purchase a cashier led me over to the isle and said there where none. Then had another cashier walk me to returns to refund me, all with out verbally communicating what was happening. I then asked if there was a way they could contact me when they  had some in stock. Two associates, one at the customer service desk the other behind her had a phone and seemed to be a stock person, looked at each other confused then looked back at me. I then asked if they had any idea when more would be in stock. He then looked on his phone and said a shipment would come on the 20th. I'm not mad that there weren't any kits in stock at the moment. What really agitates me as how I was treated, and how unprofessional many employees were there that day. I wasn't rude I spoke politely and remained calm. The curdosies were not reciprocated.

Yesterday, a Nexgrill that I ordered was delivered, preassembled. At first, I thought "What great service. They went above and beyond." but then soon realized that wasn't the case and they instead gave me a display item that had been sitting outside in the elements for a while. Rust spots speckle the entire bbq, the casters are beat up and the temp gauge is full of moisture and almost unreadable. With social distancing and my wife being pregnant, we've had to be extra cautious when it comes to deliveries so I was unable to do a close inspection while the truck was here. But I was assured it was undamaged and I took their word. No “hey, if you’d like this slightly damaged floor model, we’ll give you a small discount” Instead, it’s delivered with the hopes that it’s not sent back when I see it. I would have been perfectly happy with a heads up and a discount but this shady switch’aroo is annoying. I’ll add my own rust, thank you very much. I definitely ordered and paid for a brand new grill, not a grill that's literally been rode hard and put up wet.

I just wanted to express my feeling at what happened with the Home Depot. I have been a loyal customer to them for the past 3 years. I have had 2 houses that I have spent well over $15,000 at their store working on projects for the houses. I saw that they were running a special on carpet installation. I ended up going with a high end carpet. I was advised that I would have a “Life Time Warranty” on the carpet and to just call if any issues come up. Unfortunately it felt like buying a used car. I was promised everything before the sale and after the purchase was made it was a completely different story. I had 2 issues with the carpet that the installers needed to come back out and look at. The bottom piece of the stairs the staples came out and a small hole was in another spot that needed to be patched. I was at work the time the installers came back out and did not receive any messages or calls. Rachel advised that she called me 2 times and left me a voice mail which I checked and I never received. I was later told that I owed Home Depot $130.00 for the service visit. To staple a piece of carpet and patch a hole smaller than a quarter I was charged $130.00. I never gave authorization for the charge, my significant other advised the installers said they needed to call their boss and later came back in and said that it would be covered. They never mentioned anything about a service fee. I’m very upset that Home Depot is now trying to make my decisions for me. If I was told there would be a $130.00 fee for my “life time warranty” I would have patched the hole and placed a couple staples in my self. There is no way the amount of work they did totaled $130.00 and I’m disgusted that Rachel is choosing my finical decisions for me. This whole process has been a huge disappointment and with many more projects ahead I’ll be looking to take my business to Lowes as well as let my friends and family know about the experience I had...

I was having the world's second most horrible morning when I ran into the rental center at 1030 to check my machine in. Bella was the only one working the register at the moment, she could see that I was hard pressed for time and she prioritized getting me out the door. She didn't know that I'm a small business owner that regularly uses Home Depot for rentals. She didn't know my young son's bus came way too early and he called me saying he was waiting outside in the pouring rain. She didn't know anything about me except that I needed to get out the door ASAP. I didn't deserve any special treatment from her as I wasn't even kind; in fact, I was very curt and frustrated with how my day was going. I'm sure I was very brash. It was just one of those days where anything and everything goes wrong. This young lady kept her customer service hat on and handled me as quickly as she could, putting me to the front of the line. She was professional, courteous, solution oriented, and thorough. She kept focused on her goal, which was getting me out the door. She didn't know who I was or what I was going through, she just saw that I had a need and she immediately attended to it. When she was unsure of something, she asked her supervisor to confirm. Very detail oriented and thorough. I don't think too many people would have done all that for me in the state I was in, and I don't blame them. I would have made someone like me wait. I am very thankful to Bella for the way she handled everything and I will continue to use Home Depot for my business needs.

And Bella, if you're reading this, I'm sorry for all that and thank you again :) I called your supervisor prior to this review and let her know how sorry I am and how great you were. Remaining calm, objective, and solution oriented is not something that is always able to be taught. So thanks for...
