My 10 year old daughter and I have been in Aunt Candys 100’s of times. It was her favorite store in our hometown. Today she goes in while I’m across the street to look at the Jellycat collection, which she wanted to buy one with her birthday money. She picked one up to look at the price and was very rudely told “we don’t pick the jellycat up here” my daughter put it down, then the woman ask her HOW MUCH SHE HAD TO SPEND! WHAT??? I walked in and my daughter seemed nervous and told me we weren’t allowed to touch them. If you’re not allowed to touch them, there is a much nicer and professional way to as ask if someone needs help. The thing is, we had just come from Hopscotch toy store on cherry street where we she had purchased 2! And we’re looking for another new release. The way my daughter was treated was ridiculous. Terrible experience and a terrible way to treat kids and adults. I’ll...
Read moreWe have been shopping at Aunt Candy's toy store for over ten years. It was my child favorite store. Her grandparents bought many gift cards for holidays and birthdays on her behalf. While in the store yesterday with a fried she was followed and repeatedly asked "can I help you" to which they replied they were just looking. My daughters friend grabbed some marbles and went to the counter to pay. My child was standing with her and was asked "Do You Have Anything?" She came home teary eyed and told us how she was followed and watched and felt very uncomfortable . When I spoke to CANDY...she kept interrupting saying "mm" in a very condescending tone. The high school employees were ten times more humble, kind, and understanding. Candy seems abrasive, entitled, and outright rude. Toward the end of the conversation I asked for her full name to which she responded with hanging up on me. I immediately call back, and get the voicemail. I will never step foot in this...

They kept asking if we wanted to check out like we stole something. We felt very racially profiled and we will never return here again. Keeping in mind that they were the only colored people in there...
