My partner and I live in Chico -- 1hr 45 min drive from Rocklin. 3 weeks ago we drove down to purchase a bar table. We were told we'd have to wait for the next shipment the following weekend! Totally understandable. (I learned that I could call ahead to check in about that kind of thing)
The problems started when we drove down last weekend (2nd weekend in a row driving down there) to pick up the table. We checked in at desk, then drove around to warehouse and were given a box.
We drive back to Chico and realize we were given box 1 of 2. We were not given the legs to our table after spending the majority of the day going to pick the purchase up.
Management at this location let us down. They refused to ship the legs to is via ups or fed ex. It took an additional week to hear back from an agent (after thr manager got back from vacation) that they're only willing to deliver at the END OF SEPTEMBER (it is the middle of August as I write this) or we can drive back to Rocklin to pick up and receive a $200 partial refund on purchase. Let me tell you, $200 barely covers the gas we've spent on this odyssey. It nowhere reaches making up for the disappointment and time spent walking around a box (labeled 1 of 2)in our dining room while seeing a $700 charge come out of my bank account...as well as the amount of time we will spend this Saturday doing it all over again. I believe this store should have bitten the bullet and shipped our item to us, given we've shown dedication to making a purchase at their store.
Mistakes happen but how a business handles them really shows their character. Throughout this process, there has been little and poor communication from the store. I had to call to confirm it was ready for pick up. I've had to call to check in on the status of the legs. Initially, we were told they WOULD ship the item to us. Then, they took that back and the manager did not call me as the agent said would happen and as I requested. Scandanavian Designs Rocklin has made it clear that our time, effort, money, and satisfaction as customers are not important to them. I will not shop here again and will recommend people spend their money elsewhere

Read moreOne week ago, I took delivery of a nice table. I like the design and the quality of the furniture at Scandinavian Designs. The showroom is huge and well stocked. The warehouse isn't. This was the second attempted delivery of the table we had ordered. The table on the first delivery was damaged and we refused to accept it. The second table had several small nicks on the surface and were noted on the receipt that I signed. No one has contacted me to arrange for repairs. However, I have had two requests for surveys to help them attract new customers. The surveys also give you a space to document problems 'so they can try to make it right.' I have copied what I wrote to them below and have yet to hear from anyone. "Feedback June 6, 2022 First, we really like Danish modern furniture and have a number of pieces already. Second, your inability to maintain a suitable level of stock makes me wonder if you are a viable business. Third, after a wait of several months, we were told that the chairs we ordered were in the warehouse but do to a 'discrepancy with the inventory system', they really weren't. The next availability of the chairs might be September or more than six months after we placed the order. Fourth, when the two tables that were part of our original order were delivered by your contract delivery firm, one table was damaged and we refused delivery. Fifth, when a replacement table was delivery this past weekend, it had several surface nicks and we are waiting for your response as to how it will be repaired. Sixth, your contract delivery team scheduled a delivery time of noon to 2 p.m. and arrived at 10:30 without making contact although they said they had called but left no message. Seventh, after they had finished with their private cell phone calls, I asked them to move my old dining table approximately 25 feet, down one step and into the garage. Read moreWorst company ever! Bought couch and desk at Rocklin CA store. They didn't deliver desk for over a month now. The first time was supposed to be pick and we are over hour away and no one called us to tell the desk isn't there please don't go for pick up. Lying two times in the row, the desk still wasn't delivered and they didn't bother to let us know today. Now, with couch they brought the wrong side wing and we bought one more on clearance thinking it's same looking one, but obviously it's not and won't fir right because it's reversed. Not they refused to take it back because it was clearance. They didn't try to do ANYTHING to make it righ: to credit or exchange the wrong piece of sectional. Their customer service sucks, the store associate Carl was rude and unprofessional laughing during the conversation, manager Kris called me back but wasn't helpful at all (no issue was solved) Ugh!
