Good sandwiches, great people!

I'm no expert, nor do I carry a ruler around with me... but I thought my sandwich looked rather small for a Large. So I asked the friendly curly haired girl behind the sandwich bar if this was a large, and she reassured me it was the correct size (even explained to me the exact sandwich cutting breakdown, 3in, 3in, 3in LOL) - and I was totally cool with it as its hella filling anyways! Been going to the original Beach Hut for more than 25 years and love the sandwiches and the ambiance. This Beach Hut not so much... Service was ok, sandwiches were just ok, but the atmosphere was gross! The place is filthy and needs to be deep cleaned asap! I didn't feel comfortable eating my overpriced surfing bird with my son because the table and surroundings were so dirty and unsettling. Soda machine didn't work. No access to ice or water. Needless to say I won't be back. The next time I want to spend almost $40 on 2 regular sandwiches I'm going to make the trip to GB and hopefully not be...

Love the original on Douglas in Granite Bay....the old Rocklin and Roseville locale wasn't bad either. This one is full of old people trying so hard to act cool I was embarrassed for them. Every time I,ve been there they are out of either pasta salad or potato salad, they give me 4" of head on every beer, and I have to argue to get what I want.
