Can someone help us? We had a contract with them for purchase and installation of custom Master Bedroom closets back on 06/04/2016. The job was for $48,000. We made a deposit of $16,000. The job was supposed to be done in 4-5 months (by 11/04/2016). We made an inquiry on 11/23. No response. We made another inquiry on 12/02. The owner, John Hashempour replied: "Late december early January." Nothing by 01/12/17. We made inquiries on 01/12 and 01/16. No response. Yet another inquiry on 01/20. He said he would get back to us. He didn't. Another inquiry on 01/22, and now he said he couldn't do the job and the order was never placed with the factory (so he lied to us all along on top of breaching his contract). He said he would refund the money. Now, almost five months later (and one year since we placed the order and paid), he just told us today he would refund us by 06/22. I believe everyone would agree we have been more than patient and reasonable up to now. How can he simply not perform the work promised and not give back the money he took? What can we do and who can we tell in order to get the money back? We are extremely worried that he files bankruptcy before 06/22. We would 100% stay away from this place. I have written proof of everything I have described. Can someone please help...
