Believe all the one star reviews. TRUST ME.. Do not move here. I promise you will regret it… First, let me say, MELISSA DAVIS “property manger” please do all of the residents paying their hard earned money a favor and find a job that you actually like.. Someone who literally does not give two craps about people and their living conditions should not be running that place. She’s extremely rude and condescending. Don’t bother emailing her she won’t get back to you. She literally will dodge you for months at a time via email and in person to not address real concerns that you have. MELLISSA DAVIS you should be ASHAMED of yourself and how you treat people. Think about if it were you and your home, your money… Your carelessness and selfishness is apparent in your work ethic and personalism and I pity any one else who has to encounter you when it comes to properly managing their home. This goes for everyone in the office including the assistant property manager that they hired JASON MAO Who clearly does not know what he’s even doing. He can’t answer the most basic questions you have about your unit… CHARLENE THOMAS used to be the property manager and now she’s the district manager and she was just as bad!!! All talk… the turnover in that office is insane. Your issues will not be fixed. Hear me well YOUR ISSUES WILL NOT BE FIXED!!! They will have people who are not even qualified or certified to fix your issues come in and rig it enough to have it working for a few weeks before it breaks again. A few other things that I can guarantee will likely happen if you choose to still move here after reading this review… Your car will be broken into and/or stolen. It’s happened 4 times while I was there. The lighting in the parking lot at night is absolutely horrible. It is pitch dark and there are no cameras in the lots. YOU WILL HAVE ROACHES … and I had to BEG to have someone come and address it. You will see them crawling in the hallways and everything. There Was literally an infestation throughout the buildings going on before I left. Your packages will be stolen. I can 100% guarantee this. Take a look at the person review Regarding the mail. That actually is nothing compared to what it normally looks like. It’s 3x as full and your packages will literally also be left in the hallway. There’s no security at all. I think since I’ve been there, my packages has been stolen on at least 15 different occasions. I had to stop getting things delivered there which made it extremely inconvenient. Expect to pay twice as much as a laundry because the dryers do not heat properly and you will need to do a second load in order to get them dry properly. The fobs do not work on all of the doors and Some of them are just open. So the buildings are not even secure. This is also something I mentioned to them last year that that was never fixed… Management will screw you over and will do everything to keep your deposit. TRUST ME!!!! You are not getting that full deposit back, if anything. They don’t have meters to monitor your water so you get charged according to How much water everyone uses in the building. For example I was away for weeks at a time and still got charged a water bill even though I was not home using any water…… Again, you can hold your breath when it comes to maintenance request fully being resolved… or They’ll tell you they can’t fix it while you’re dwelling in the unit. they’re a joke…. You’re paying for pest control and amenities every month for nothing. Like I said earlier roaches is a huge problem there so they don’t do routine pest control. The pool is literally always down. The gym is a complete joke. Only one treadmill works, and it doesn’t even work properly. They do not clean. I promise you I’ve seen the same dirt or trash in the hallways and stairways for weeks and even months at a time. MELLISA DAVIS IS THE LANDLORD FROM HELL … Don’t be fooled. She may try to be nice in order to get you to sign that lease, and it’s downhill...
Read moreThis is just my review on my overall experience with our tour guide and how the viewing of the apartment / property went..
Tamika was very friendly, funny, informative polite and answered all of our question in a clear and precise manner. She did note that it had been a long week and that she apologizes beforehand if she sounded tired. I appreciated that and let her know that we understand, we’re teachers. However, throughout our tour, she seemed to be very lively, attentive and all smiles.
I really like how she showed us two units that were the same but one unit was currently being remodeled and cleaned up for its new tenant while their other was already furnished. It really allowed for us to get a sense of how our unit could look while the other not furnished unit allowed us to see just how much space we have to work with, where plugs are etc etc.
She informed us that we did have the option to pay an extra fee to park in the garage and that there was also free parking. She informed us that quite a few people opt to pay the additional fee to park in the garage because it’s going to be a shorter walk for you to get to your unit and in the winter time you don’t need to clean off your car.
I asked whether or not there had been any issues with water damage or leaking and she informed me that she hadn’t had any complaints, but that management ie her, looked at all the maintenance orders and responded as quickly as possible. She also explained to me that upon moving in, I would have access to the portal that would allow me to submit any maintenance tickets. She also informed us that upon moving in there would be all new carpet, we would be allowed to paint the walls as well as add any additional locks to the inside and any security cameras to the outside of our doors.
During the end of our tour she took time explaining in depth the application process. (I made sure to record that whole conversation cause it was a lot to remember )She was very clear and stressed the importance of keeping an eye on the website and the different prices for move-in date, as well as the type of countertops you wanted.
The initial tour and our tour guide were wonderful!! I had zero complaints.
Something things that were concerning to us were while walking through the buildings, there was a odd/ nasty smell. I’m not sure if it was coming from the washrooms, people walking with their wet shoes on the floor or the ACs, but it didn’t smell to pleasant ( Thankfully, none of the units that we viewed had a bad smell-not even the unit that was under construction.) Walking around the property, my friend, and I noticed that parts of the building were broken and or falling apart with the insulation falling out. Not really sure if there was some construction going on or if perhaps there was an accident but it definitely did not look good. We also noticed that a few of the parking garage doors did not come down all the way leaving space for potential rodents to climb under. Lastly, we decided to speak with a few of the tenants and they expressed their frustrations with management/ maintenance which I noticed, was consistent with a few of the reviews on here.
To end : I’m not 100% sure if I’m going to go through with the overall application process. My advice to anyone who is still on the fence about going for a tour. I would advise you to absolutely go to the building for yourself. Go see things and ask questions for you own peace of mind. Get as much information as you can to make a well informed decision for you ! I’ve looked at all of the reviews good and bad like everybody else but it’s important to remember that some people’s experience ,does not indicate your experience. With that being said, I think it’s wise of us NOT to ignore reviews and the warnings that people put out there.
Whether or not I decide to go through with the application process — I’m very happy I went. Thank you Tameka for your...
Read morePlease don't move here. Not if you value your sanity and money.
We moved in May 2023 and immediately knew we had made a mistake. Our apartment was not ready for us to move in. Don't let the name fool you. There is nothing luxurious about these apartments. Our microwave didn't have a door. The stove was incomplete, with several parts simply left on the countertop. There were paint droplets everywhere and the walls and ceiling were in need of serious repair.
A day or two after we moved, the smell of marijuana begin permeating our apartment. We complained several times, but nothing was ever done. When we moved in, we wondered why the ceilings were in such bad shape. We complained. No one got back to us. We painted the ceiling ourselves. Then it rained and water leaked into the living room and hallway. Ahh. That's why the ceilings look that way! It took them three attempts to stop the leaks. They "fixed" the leak and left the ceilings as-is without repainting.
The shower head was broken. We reported it, but no one ever stopped by to fix it. We experienced no hot water at least 3 days a week every week. When we did have hot water, it took 15-20 minutes of running the water before it got to us. Keep in mind that we pay for water and sewer. And then there is the heat situation. Heat was electric in our unit and our electric bill was at least $400 a month. When we lived on West St our bill was never more than $100. Eversource was confused too, and they told us that it is possible Concierge Apartments makes tenants pay for common-area electricity, including laundry room electricity.
We called the office to discuss these issues at least 20 times. I sent email after email. I sent messages via the portal website. No one ever returned my call or responded to my messages. I called and emailed the management office. Crickets. I stopped by the leasing office to discuss the issues and they routinely treated me with disrespect. I and other customers waiting in the sitting area watched as they treated other customers in the same fashion.
Needless to say, we did not renew the lease. We moved out this late April (our lease ended May 19, 2024). Would you believe me if I told you the problems continue? We gave Concierge apartments a $3418.00 deposit. We paid May rent in full, as requested. When we turned in the keys, we were told we would get back our deposit + a partial credit for May rent.
I decided to stop by the leasing office to speak with someone regarding our refund. Andrew (new guy) took my information and promised to call me back. An hour or two later he called.
He told me I would be receiving $2500 or so from the $3418 deposit. He wanted to rush me off the phone, but I demanded a breakdown. He went on to explain they were charging me $100 for cleaning and $141 for amenities.
Since I am good with math and I also pay attention, I asked where the rest of the money went. He told me I should send an email via the website with my inquiry. I explained that I have done so in the past and no one ever gets back to me. He replied, "I don't know what to tell you".
I asked, "What about the prorated amount for May rent???". He replied "There is no mention here of that. What I just read to you is what you are getting back".
So, what do I do now, Andrew??? Whom do I speak to? If you work here and can't help me, who can???
He replied, "I don't know what to tell you".
They charged me for cleaning, even though we left it immaculate and when we moved in it was dirty. They charged me for amenities and utilities, even though I paid those fees in May rent. They promised to refund the prorated amount for May, but somehow no one knows what I am talking about.
Concierge Luxury Apartments: Rude, unresponsive and inconsiderate.
There is nothing luxurious about this place, except the fees. Feel free to reach out to me. I am happy to provide you with more details.
