Wow, what an unexpected gem! My family and I stayed at the hotel down the street. I googled looking for a good coffee place in the area before we hit the highway on our way back to Pennsylvania.
I was blown away by the reviews I read, so we decided to try it out. As soon as you walk in, it's just such a nice atmosphere to walk into.
The best thing besides a product, though, is great customer service. Not only were the women that worked there welcoming, but they also went above and beyond my expectations.
The coffee was wonderful. I had a customized cold foam with two flavors I never see anywhere together. My wife can only have sugar-free options and it was by far her favorite one she's had anywhere. For the record, I had a maple macadamia nut cold foam with my cold brew. My wife had a sugar-free hazelnut iced latte.
Again though, the conversations the people working there had with me were so friendly. One of the young women was sharing that she had friends from a town not too far from me.
They recommended the crumb cakes, with my daughters and I loved. The one young woman suggested to try the cakes warm and even heated them up for us.
This is exactly the kind of place I would love to have in my neighborhood. If wherever back in the area, we will for sure...
Read moreNot sure where 5 stars are coming from. I've never had a worse cup of decaf, and I've never been to a cafe that doesn't have cookies. My caprese panini was just okay, but the tomato tasted like the ones you get out of a bin in December -underripe, dry, and just barely tomato flavored. Definitely not August tomatoes. The location is weird, too. In a strip mall. It's convenient, though. Plenty of parking. Service was adequate and pleasant enough. The plastic, backlit menus are really tacky, and don't help the semi-sterile atmosphere. There was one hand-written chalk board that took the edge off, but it seemed out of place. It may be a cliche, but it's popular for a reason. People want to know that a human makes their food, and a warm atmosphere conveys that feeling. Aside from the location, it seems like it wouldn't take much effort to make this place better, so I don't understand the decisions that have...
Read moreI visted 05/03/2024. I felt that staff were unwelcoming and indifferent. I didn't receive a cordial welcome at all, and even had to stand at the counter for several minutes while the manager and worker talked. I was never once acknowledged, even to say "hello, we will be right with you in just a moment". After receiving my lukewarm coffee in a to-go cup and cherry crumble cake dumped UPSIDE-DOWN into a white bag, I sat at my table. Other guests began to arrive and make their orders. I looked around and noticed that everyone else had their coffees in nice, ceramic coffee mugs and their food on cute little baskets. I was not given the option of ordering my food as to go or eating it in house. It probably was an oversight, but it made me feel very unwelcomed. This is my second bad experience in this cafe and I will nit be returning. Both the lukewarm coffee and cake went...
