Bought cologne here which is really good and then I began browsing the jewelry section, which I ended up buying a piece from Russell everything seemed well on the surface buy I did notice when asking the weight of the chain he was being shady about the weight of it even when it could see a scale clearly on the counter behind him. I kept requesting that he would put the chain on the scale before buying, but reassured me I was getting a fair deal I was happy. Everything was fine and actually, my brother and myself we’re going to return to buy a pendant, which is no longer the case. I put my $500 custom pendant on it and less than four hours after purchasing the chain I was shopping at the grocery store and out of the corner of my eye I noticed that the chain was hanging from my shoulder and I looked down And noticed the chain had broken, and my pendant was missing even though the area where this chain broke at was clearly a manufacturer error of I’m assuming they buy cheaply made gold manufacturing . I Immediately called the next morning because they were closed that same day. I explained the issue to them and I was told that I would have to wait until Wednesday for Russell to be in so I went to the shop and explain the situation to Russell and he immediately started to jump to conclusions stating that there’s no way that the chain could’ve broken on its own, and I must’ve done something to have it break already being upset because of the fact that I lost my custom pendant that I’ve had for years I explained to him Exactly what happened but he kept insinuating that it was my fault that I did something and that I was lying i was so fed up with this frustration He could either repair the piece, which I no longer wanted after breaking and losing my pendant and weighing chain my scale at home and realizing the weight of it which he could’ve just told me when I originally bought it. After some going back-and-forth, he gave me two different options. One was to have the chain be repaired by him, which after what happened in the first place, I did not feel comfortable wearing that chain anymore. The second option was that he would give me the scrap value of the chain Approximately half of what I paid for it we kept going back-and-forth. He would not just refund the chain even due to fact it was clearly a manufacturer error talked a bit more. Since he did not want to help me out in the way that I was requesting, I finally decided to just get rid of it. Get half of my money back and move on to a better more experienced jeweler. Don’t get me wrong. Russell is extremely kind which kind of catches you off guard and gives you a sense of trust but the way they do business I personally don’t respect. Russell is a true gentleman just the way they go about business is not what I prefer nor would any person looking to spend hundreds or dollars on Jewlery. My lesson learned was always trust your gut if something sounds too good to be true than it is and the area we live in today and you can’t trust anybody at face value if it weren’t for this situation happening and the chain not snapping, I would give HA jewelers a five star rating, but I just wanted to give my personal experience and the cologne is 10 out of 10 realistically I will not be returning just based off of the...
