ALDI — Local services in Ross Township

I want to say that for the most part your money goes way further at Aldi's, to be l me they truly are the low price leaders. Okay this location is fantastic for so many reasons. The employees actually seem happy. When they have a line they actually get on the register and clear you out. They never mind if you have a question. The items and neatly displayed. I contribute all of this to their manager. He is a really good at his job, friendly, personable, helpful, speaks kindly to the employees and he is easy on the eyes. Him being attractive has no baring on this review at all. However while you have your short wait it's pretty to look at, lol! Go here folks and to add to my ongoing side rant. Again why are the so many Illinois licensed cars there??? Can't you folks from Illinois keep your hostile self in your own area and trash your stores there instead of running ours. Again I say you should have to show your license and if you live in Illinois you should have to pay what the tax rate is in Illinois as compensation to the good people that live and work in Indiana that have to deal with your miserable self's...you know...

EDIT: THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE A COSTCO REVIEW We're not members because I don't know if it would be worth it. We go for a pill prescription that my insurance won't pay for elsewhere. Non members can use the pharmacy, snack shop and buy liquor. We've eaten the hot dog special several times. Very excellent deal. For a buck fifty $1.50, you get a drink with refill and a beef hot dog that hangs off either side of the bun with condiments. There are a few other, simple food items. A bottle of water is 25 cents. Great price. Pharmacy people are very polite and helpful every time I call or go in. I don't like the crowdedness of customers though ( but not a big concern) and how they have the bathrooms blocked over in a far corner. Everything else...

My husband and my mom were at the Merrillville, In location at 3:30pm and the cashier Suzanne was rude, condescending and unprofessional. I was over 10 years working with the public and customer service and I was management for 1 year then I took a medical leave but I would never tolerate any of my employees to be rude to customers because thanks to our customers we have jobs that we get paid for. I have never had a negative experience at Aldi until now. To the manager and To the cashier Suzanne, I understand it can be stressful but that is no excuse for rude behavior. We all are experiencing difficulties and we need to be kind to eachother but if at anytime we feel burned out then we need to take a leave of absence or a change...
