
I am rating this establishment a 3 strictly because of the food and not the service. I have a pretty extensive background in Customer Service and have worked for major companies downtown Chicago who have received JD Power awards for Excellent Customer Service. There is much improvement that will need to be done to keep this establishment flourishing & favorable. When walking in the door I quickly realized some changes should be made immediately. There should be 2 separate directives if you are dining in and if you are ordering to go. If I am dining in there is no way I should have to wait in a long line to then sit down and wait on my order. Any reputable establishment should seat their dine in customers. The staff at the desk are unorganized but friendly. Once my order was taken I had to ask, "What do I do now? Can I sit at one of the tables? Will my food be brought out to me? The cashier took my name and cell number and said I could sit down and she would call me when it was available. I ordered 2 chicken pita tacos. I sat there and 40 minutes later nothing. My friend who was with me and had been there before advised me to just go up and check on my order. She said I am sure they are sitting there and to my surprise they were & wrapped in foil. I get my food and it taste great but now I need something to drink. I go to the bar and there is a guy there behind the bar just standing there. (I later found out he is the owner) I get his attention and ask for a drink. He says, " I don't make drinks". Whoa Sir and I think to myself that is not the response an owner should give any patron. I understand you may not be a bartender and the liquor license may merely be in your name but there is a way to address a customer and that is not it. Anyone behind the bar should have a bartenders license right? How about saying I apologize she will be right with you I'm not authorized to make drinks etc. My hopes is that you will take all constructive criticism obtained from these reviews & update your practices. Read moreOrdered on 8/7 initially I went in for 1/2 chicken mixed only then the cashier suggested that I get a meal instead that would be cheaper so she rang it up and it wasn’t in my budget so I asked her to keep it only at chicken she calls the manager whom has an attitude that she has to come up. She removes the meal and I tell her chicken only when the cashier got back on the register she added cabbage on which I did not ask her to do but I didn’t want the manager to have to come up again because she was very rude to the cashier about it the first time. Ok I wait for my order get it and the chicken looks really undercooked and the cabbage was very wilted it didn’t give Jamaican cabbage at all. I take it back in, place it on the counter and open to show the manager she immediately grabs it looks at it and tosses it in the trash and rudely says “we don’t cook our chicken like other places we broil it and we don’t cook it well done so what else do you want?” I’m not sure where it’s legal to sell medium rare chicken but I informed her that I didn’t like her attitude and would like a refund. She seemed taken aback as if no one has ever stood up to her nasty attitude. I demanded a refund and she told me I would have to dispute it because she “can’t access her system”. So this establishment participates in FRAUD. Because I’ve disputed it and it was over turned. Not only that when I left the establishment she followed me to my car not sure what she was trying to do but I still haven’t been refunded. Read moreFirst time trying this place! Called right when they opened at noon…lady on the phone says I have to order online or come in. Online doesn’t open until 12:30. Ok, I wait…then order. Says 35 min wait. I call 40 mins later, lady on the phone rudely says my order isn’t up yet and hangs up before I could say anything else. So I go up there about 15 mins later. My man goes in and gets the food because I didn’t have the patience to deal with the girl attitude in person. He comes back with the food, of course I check it before we leave. He ordered 2 chicken tacos and 4 wings. I order an all white chicken dinner with Mac n cheese and cabbage. I open my container, first thing I see is a long piece of hair in the box as I’m opening it. I close it, go inside. She asks what’s wrong, I open the box and show her the hair. I asked her to remake it please. She rudely says “oh yea they gone remake it cus I don’t do that” then proceeded to go in the back and yell at the staff about wearing face masks… I just think that her attitude could have been better. Not a good look for a first timer. Food was not impressive for the price….white chicken was super dry, rice was hard, Mac was bland, cabbage was over cooked but was the only thing actually seasoned well. The sauce was the only thing I liked. Had to use extra to eat the chicken. The bread is also just regular white bread not the Jamaican bread. The wings were super tiny and overcooked as well. Definitely should have read the reviews before coming here. Owner need to check that manager...
