Normally speaking, we love coming into At Home as there are always tons of decor and such, however after my visit yesterday it's making me reconsider visiting again....
We went in yesterday wanting to buy some small trees, and saw some right away that were perfect for our needs. We went over and I took the price tag up to look at how much it was, however one of the workers practically skirted over and took the tag from us saying, "oh no that's not the right price..." and practically took it out of my hand. But personally, as someone who has worked in customer service for 10+ years, if a customer sees a price that price should be honored... Yesterday, we would have bought 2 trees, but left with nothing... If I can't trust the price I see to be right, why would I want to attempt buying something?
I can understand having deals for specific days, but unfortunately, I don't think it's quite right to try and take sale signs off right in front of the customer. Instead... They should be removed the night before or before they open the next day in order to assure that there is no genuine confusion.
And if it is missed, it is something that should be honored even if it is out of date for the sales... At least, if a business is trying to operate in integrity that would be how...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf I could give zero stars I would!!! I called and asked can they hold an item because Iām traveling far away to pick it up and the SUPERVISOR was VERY VERY RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL. I stayed polite and very calm. She didnāt want to check the UPC CODE to see if the item was in stock and also when she did check, I asked if I could put them on hold because Iām traveling very far, she told me NO, she donāt feel like going to get the chairs and holding them. I asked can I speak to someone else, she told me no because she is the supervisor and shes the only one I can talk to. I asked for her name she kept saying her name is āsupervisorā. Mind you this is company policy that they can hold chairs til the end of the day 10pm to be exact. Also the chairs are $169 each and I told her I needed 3. Keep in mind I was willing to travel kinda far to pick them up because no AT HOME stores have them in stock near me. That was very inconsiderate, rude and unprofessional of her especially being the āsupervisorā who runs the store!! Being that I am a customer that spends LOTS of money at the āAT HOMEā store Customers who are traveling far should be allowed to hold items until the end...

I bought 3 of the solar dragonfly stick lights and when I got home and tried them in my garden pots 2 worked and 1 didnāt. I cleaned up the bottom of the one that didnāt work and a couple of days later brought it back for a refund ( I had my receipt) with the intention to purchase a replacement one. The cashier was about as rude and unprofessional as could be. Giving me a tongue lashing because I didnāt have the plastic wrap with the price tag. She told me that she needs that number on the tag in order to process it. Then proceeded to tell me that now she has to look it up and they were told not to do that. I offered to walk over to get another one and bring it to her but she said no she needed the one from this pkg! I m not into arguing so I just stood there quietly while she was ranting. If she looked at my receipt and seen I spent 234.00 and all I was returning was an item worth 3.99. Really!! After she refunded me the money I decided not to repurchase another one. I will spend my money at another store. Rudeness is unacceptable. ...
