Will never shop at this store again. I had nothing but problems when trying to purchase pajamas that were on sale on the jcp website, but ringing up full price in store. I did my research, and the jcp website itself DOES say it WILL acknowledge online prices and honor them in store. Well....I didn't get that kind of service! The pajamas I wanted were $15.59 online. In store price was $52.00. They were on A CLEARANCE RACK and the sales associate in that department told me that the price would be adjusted!! There was no way in hell I was going to pay full price. I was told that if the cashier adjusted the price, she would get in trouble for doing so. The cashier suggested I order the items and then go downstairs to customer service to pick them up. I agreed. She entered my info into her computer and provided me with a receipt. I headed downstairs to customer service (located at the opposite end of the store) and spoke to an associate. Explained the circumstances. She got her manager or another associate (I'm not sure who), who spoke to her manager. I was told that I COULD NOT take the items home that I PAID FOR and were waiting for me at the cashier's desk because...get this....they have to order the same exact items from the jcp warehouse and I have to wait approximately 7 days and return to the store to pick them up!! Seriously, what kind of nonsense is this, JCP?? This company wants to waste employee time, waste money on shipping an item that was already in store, plus waste money on shipping costs. It's insane. I don't place the blame on any of your employees. They were all kind and as helpful as could be. It just does not make sense. I left the store fuming mad. On top of it all, there was only one fitting room open in the entire store. In order to try something on, you had to walk to the other side of the store. Ridiculous. Read moreFirst, let me say that I only shop at J C Penney's,,, I was helped by Stacy and she was wonderful and went way out of her way to make sure I was happy with the things I needed and even set it up for me to place my order to the side as they had no more promo coupons left and set it up for me to come back the next day to purchase my stuff and to even have a promo coupon waiting for me so I come back the next day to pick up my stuff, the night time management wasn't as acomidating, took 15 minutes for her to get off the phone to help me cuz she had the coupon that was supposed to be waiting with my stuff and the cashier did nothing but complain the entire time I was waiting to be checked out,, this is NOT the normal service that I usually get or expect from Penney's,,, thank you Stacy for your help as you went above and beyond what I was expecting from...
Read moreI had two packages delivered to my house they came perfectly fine. One of them was a size too big so I took them to my JCPenney in Merrillville. The lady at the register had my wrong information so she proceeded to put in my new information for my right address which I couldn't understand why my old address was in there when I just got two packages. She corrected the address showed me on the screen and it looked correct. I verified. I walked out went home waited for my package. Turns out my package was still sent to the previous address which is an abandoned house and now I'm out of a package..... Completely disgusted because I needed this package by Sunday....
