Southlake Bridal — Local services in Ross Township

I came into this store with high hopes. My Mom had visited a few weeks ago to scope the place out and met a lovely older woman...so my mom (based on that conversation & that my sister in law bought her dress there) recommended the place. I visited today with my Mom. The young lady at the counter greeted us when we came in and asked what I was looking for (my wedding dress!)...and directed me to the correct area. To say that this is a bridal shop is a bit of an overstatement. They had 3 very very small racks near the wall at the back of the shop. There were not a lot of styles to choose from and perhaps about 15 or so dresses total. As we proceeded to browse through these dresses, the younger lady and older lady came out from behind the counter and started watching us but didn't bother to say anything. Talk about seriously uncomfortable! Since looking for my dress was a wash, we looked through the rest of the store to get ideas for bridesmaids dresses.....again, staring from the workers but no assistance. Perhaps this is a place to go if you are looking for a prom...

My daughter's and their sister-in-law to be 21, 21 and 22 ( not that age should matter) went to shop for a bridal gown at Southlake bridal. Upon entering the store they were greeted by a young lady who was very kind who said she would be back in a minute. Before the young lady could return an older woman approached the ladies and asked if they needed help. The bride was looking at dresses and the lady told her she should look elsewhere because she was too big for the style she was holding ( she's a 10 tops), this left the bride embarrassed and humiliated and on the verge of tears. I might add this was the first time the bride was going to try on dresses. I can not believe that someone would body shame a bride shopping for her special day. Terrible!!! The young lady came back and apologized and assisted the ladies after hearing the interaction. She did her best to make the experience as good as it could be from there. IShe needs...

A one star is way more then this store deserves. A few years back my daughter bought a dress from them. We had it dry cleaned after she wore it. The dress was all missed shaped. Now my daughter is getting married and her bridesmaid picked out dress that she liked. We asked the sale person if it can be dry cleaned since it was a floor model and was very wrinkled. She said yes. Get it home and it says it can not be dry cleaned. Called her asking to return the dress. Who wants a dress you can't have cleaned. She told me no refund. Bring it back to the store and they would dry clean it. So I did. We take it out of the bag and now there isn't the scarf that goes with the dress. The lady is saying we didn't bring it with the dress. We infact did bring it. I have pictures of the dress right before we dropped it off. The time is on the pic. So be very careful when buying anything from this store. I am reporting...
