Second time at this location as a table of one. First experience was lunch on a weekday and the food was great, server I believe was new and although she only had one or two more tables it felt like it took forever to get to my table. Regardless, the food that day was great and overall I felt ok about the service since server was training.
Tonight, I again came in as a table of one. I was seated right away as the restaurant was not too full. As I mentioned this is only my second time so I did have some questions regarding the all you can eat option vs the regular dinner option. I ordered the chicken dumplin soup I had the time before, and Alfredo with crispy chicken. I did ask my waiter to just give me the all you can eat option since it would’ve been the same price. As an observer, I could tell this kind of annoyed my server. Once my soup and breadsticks came, I took a few sips before realizing i needed to go use the restroom to wash my hands. Upon returning, I found my bread basket taken away, no water refill, forks taken, and my soup bowl now had my leftover breadstick and a piece of paper inside of it. After a few minutes I asked my waiter what had happened and he offered a new soup and bread. Moments later a younger server (or bus boy not sure) came by and apologized for thinking I had left (without paying I should add). Once my pasta arrived I realized I had not gotten a new fork so I waited again for that. The pasta was fine, compared to my first time here I would say it was not as good, lacked flavor and felt on the colder side but regardless I ate it. At the end of my meal the manager walked my and asked me about my meal, due to my own anxiety I was not able to say I was not feeling great about my experience but I did ask for more water. Once I got my second serving I decided it was just time for me to head out. I paid on the machine at the table, left my 20% tip. Called the server through the machine to get a to go container. The machine timed out or stopped blinking probably because it had been forever since I called someone over. I ended up pulling over the same bus boy to ask for a container, he gracefully complied. As I was getting ready to get up my waiter came by to ask if I wanted another refill, I mentioned I was good and had already paid. The server continued to ask if I wanted something else to go which was weird considering I was already getting up and had already paid.
Overall, I just feel like this may not be place to come if you are dining alone. The whole experience was just making me feel like I was doing...
Read moreOur dinner started off with salad and breadsticks. I found hair in my salad which I was not overly dramatic about I mean I work in restaurants I know it's a common thing that sometimes happens. Andrew our server apologized and ask if I wanted another salad but to be honest who wants more after you find hair in your food so I politely declined. Once I received my main entree which was a cheese ravioli with meatballs it was horrible the meatballs tasted like they were spoiled. I literally took 2-3 bites and I couldn't eat anymore. I told my server that I didn't want to complain but the meatballs were bad he apologized and then agreed that the meatballs aren't good. He went on to say he didn't know what was going on in the kitchen tonight and again apologize. I told him not to worry about it when it was time for the check my bill still reflected the cheese ravioli and the salad. I was shocked especially since I showed him the hair and we talked about the pasta dish. I had to ask for the food to be remove from my bill when he made it back to my table. I felt it was bad business if you know and agree that the meal isn't right why do I have to tell you to remove it from my bill. In my restaurant we would have taken it off the bill without the guest requesting it and gave a free dessert or something but nope not an ounce of empathy. Even though I was in for dinner and didn't eat close to anything. Also I thought there was a manager on the floor it would have been a nice touch to do some table visits instead she walked passed us a few times without stopping even though I'm pretty sure my face appeared annoyed. We were done eating and everything we just sat there as she walked the floor waiting for the server to come back to the table I mean he was busy so I understand this is why you have a manager present on the floor to handle guest problems. Anyways eventually he came back and took care of the issue for me it was just about principle the bill should have never arrived with those charges. Remember Olive Garden be proactive and anticipate the guests needs that's what hospitality...
Read moreFour of us decided to try Olive Garden for the first time for my wife's birthday(I let the waitress know) Anyway our food was over microwaved, I mean you can tell that this food is not prepared fresh. I got the Tour of Italy and if anyone from Italy stopped in and ordered this they would of been disgusted, the pasta was dry and hard on the edges, the chicken was overdone to where the edges were hard and the chicken was rubbery, i must say that the lasagna was not bad at all but not Italy. Then the chicken and shrimp carbonara had an awful flavoring it was like a cream that was over seasoned with liquid smoke the chicken was dry causing the hiccuping effect, and the shrimp was over cooked to the point of like eating rubber bands wedging chunks of shrimp between your teeth. I knew that this restaurant was not good when we received the artichoke spinach dip and you can see the over microwaved edges of the dip also notice the portion size compared to the amount of chips ( no way will you be able to eat the chips with the dip) why would anyone in there right mind be satisfied with this so called food. Oh bye the way they blew off my wife's birthday. I have included pictures feel free to zoom in and notice the dryness of the microwaved food. Also please notice all the responses are not at all personal but auto respond with a letter to all customers they really don't care about customer satisfaction, read the responses and you will see they are all the same. Please zoom in and look at the dryness of the food. the tour of Italy is the worst one of all SMALL DRY PORTIONS. My first time at Olive Garden and...
