Just walked in for pro days to buy some gifts for some fellow gamers. One of the adds posted on the wall said "Buy one get one free on clearance and apparel". Yet the gamestop circular advertised clearance and apparel are buy one get two free. My girlfriend respectfully let the staff know that the sign was wrong. Both staff members made a strange face and one said "uh yeah" as if it wasn't news to them. Who knows if this sign was put up intentionally in order to cheat unknowing customers who have paid fully for this annual membership. We browsed around for about 20 minutes after and realized the sign was never taken care of. The staff had plenty of opportunities to print a new sign. We decided not to buy anything because of the poor service.
This is not the first time that we have had issues at this location. When the release of Assassins Creed and Mario was happening. I waited and watched for a Gamestop associate to call out the group numbers. 11 PM came around and the Gamestop associates just let people into the store without calling the groups. Not only that but, out of the 10 people that were in the store 6 of them paid for the game after 11 PM.. I came to the store at 8 PM to get my final receipt like the employee indicated earlier that day when I paid off the game. The Gamestop employees said nothing to the customers that were paying for the game after 11 and did not even apologize to the other customers that had to wait because of those people. When we went to the register to purchase the toy when he began to open it, so I told him we had to wait until "she" rung it up first. The cashier turned around and rudely told my son and myself that her pronouns were they and them. I told her that we didn't know and that he was a preschooler. I told her she could educate me instead of being rude. She held the toy behind the register and refused to sell the toy and told us to leave. I started yelling how ridiculous it was that she would refuse service for something we didn't know. She was wearing a dress, headband and other items and I assumed. I asked for the store manager information and she refused to give it to me saying it was personal information. My son tried to get another toy and she snatched it from him and picked up the phone to call the police. I took my son to the car to sit with another family member and went inside to ask for information to make a store complaint. She wrote down a fake number and called for an escort. INDIGO is the worst customer service representative I have ever met and I will be filing a formal complaint. Read moreThe lady that helped me was not welcoming, you could tell she did not want to be there and did not have the desire to help. I had a couple of consoles for trade in and she answered a phone call while she was helping me, it sounded like her manager making sure she take a lunch. After she ended the call she asked me if I could come back in 30 min. I said no because i was already at a different location where there it was closed with a note on the door saying “Will be back in 30”. It seems like GameStop locations do not have the staff to cover lunches. She huffed and puffed and continued to check the trade in, she shook the console and dust came out of it, she then said it looked like bugs and she couldn’t take the trade in. I think she just wanted to get rid of me fast to be able to take her lunch break.
