What started as a documented overcharge ended with what could be considered a threat by the owner. Saturday Aug. 27 brought my 2016 Ford Expedition 4x4 with 90,787 miles into service @ 8:00a for brake squeal. At 9:06a got a call from the service writer needed brake work. I verbally authorized resurface rotors and install brake pads with one caveat: OEM parts only. The service writer said they only use genuine Ford parts. At 10:21a I got a call the truck was ready to pick up. I got there at 11:45 - service closed at noon. I was presented with a bill for $339. I asked if they used Ford parts and the service writer said there were no parts. I protested that resurfacing/sanding rotors doesn't take 3 hours labor and it was either pay the bill or walk home. Monday 8/29 called the service manager and left a message - no response. I drove over that afternoon and waited for Ron the service manager. I brought along quotes from 2 Ford dealers to resurface brakes: $125 and $150 with dealer names and contacts. One dealer said why on earth would anyone resurface rotors on a truck with 90,000 miles and not replace pads? Ruidos Ford never measured the pads. Ron was noncommittal and said he would look into it. Left another call for Ron - no response for a request for a return phone call. On September 6 wrote a 2 page letter to Chase protesting the credit card charge and the New Mexico Attorney General. I hand carried a copy of the letter to the dealership. First response was a voicemail @ 6:40p Sept. 7 = 11 DAYS. Spoke the next day with a man who identified himself as the owner. He made some illogical statements (Google "chamfured"), wouldn't stop interrupting me and had very limited mechanical knowledge. I have run a diesel service shop and owned a used HD truck and construction trailer dealership. The question I tried to ask was why the service manager was never allowed to address my overcharge complaint. Call ended when this owner guy said in a malicious tone, "I've lived in this town a long time and you haven't and I know a lot of people". Was this a threat? The $189.23 overcharge is in the hands of Chase and the NM...
Read moreI would NEVER recommend ANYONE dealing with these people. The owner is horrible and extremely rude. I have a 2014 Ford fusion with 33,000 miles on it so it's still under factory warranty. Well the turbo went out so I took it in to get fixed on a Monday and they told me that it would be ready by Friday. So I called them Friday and was told they were still waiting on a part and it would be ready Monday. Called them Monday and was told that the part they are waiting on is on back order and could take up to a MONTH to get in. I told them that I could not go a month withoit a car and asked if they would give me a loaner. They said that would be fine but they wouldn't have a loaner car back for a few days. Then the next day I get a call from the OWNER informing me that they were not going to give me a loaner because I hadent bought the car from them and it wasn't their problem that I wouldn't have a car. He also told me to not call them anymore that they would call me when my car was done. I told him that I called Roswell ford and explained to them the situation and they told me they would be more than happy to give me a loaner car. The owner then tells me to come pick up my Fuc*ing car and take it to them. I took my car to Roswell ford and they were fantastic. I would suggest to anyone in ruidoso looking to buy a ford to go to either Roswell...
Read moreI use to always recommend Ruidoso Ford. I never had issues with them and loved the customer service. I recently went and had my vehicle servced and that experience was good as always. However that said, I can not recommend them for purchasing a vehicle. I informed the service dept. I wanted trade in value (fully expecting to get I'm getting ripped off, since my mom traded in a vehicle then they sold it for $12k more then her trade in. Yes I know they need to make some profit but that's a lot) because I want a brand new top of the line vehicle fully loaded every feature. The sales rep reached out I explained the vehicle he messaged is not what I want went over everything and my husband would reach out to him. He found what I was wanting and told my husband they could get it to Ruidoso but we had to purchase first (sight unseen, did not send photos and no test drive) my husband asked what if it's not what we want what if we don't like it. We are told the sale would be final no return no refunds we have to purchase and take it. My husband says no that's not ok we will go elsewhere he then is told by the sales rep we'll it also was used by the car lot and has a bit of miles put on it ( which I wanted like no miles less then 100 preferably) so no now we will be giving our money to...
