Frank made me a banjo in 1990. I still own it and three other professional quality banjos. Frank's banjo is always "right". Because of the fret spacing and quality of the banjo, it stays true up and down the neck every time. Last week I handed to a friend to pick. He played one tune in G and then put on the capo to pick one in A. He was amazed at how little retuning was needed for the 5th string. And the other strings were still in tune! Yes! I have enjoyed and picked this banjo for over 28 years. I've had Frank and Ricky replace frets twice and I've replaced the head as needed. Read moreFrank Neat is the best in the business bar none. In the early 1970's he rebuilt the neck on my old Mastertone which had been snapped into by two rambunctious kids. When he was finished you could not only tell the difference but it was made thinner to help my slides down the neck. Thank God I have finally found him again because even though I quit playing full time in 1998 I need some serious repair work done and Franks the only one I trust to do it on my prewar flathead.
