Very shaky four star.
I came by a bit after the lunch hour and chose to go through the window to save a bit of time. Unfortunately it saved no time at all, many of the people behind me where pulling away but when you are getting fresh coffee you should be prepared to wait a few minutes, this was a bit of a push but I understood it seemed like the two making the coffees where busy with the inside.
I get to the window and the wait continues a bit, the young woman who took my order and money was the absolute essence of southern charm I would have expected from a smaller business and seemed very worried that I had been in line upwards of ten minutes by this point.
She gave me my coffee which had been set aside among a lot of other drinks, and I am very surprised she was able to quickly pick out which was mine and I headed out.
The drink: A LG Turtle Latte - I considered giving a 3* for this. I have absolutely no issue when waiting for coffee... when it is full.... unfortunately this latte was only above the halfway point of the cup and filled the rest of the way with whip and caramel. By the time I received it the whip had already melted far below the point where i would have expected the coffee to be.
I am the type of person who prefers a little coffee with my caramel, but the coffee had a nice Baxter type taste I expected from anyone advertising their brand. If you aren't a fan of the coffee taste, I suggest adding an extra shot of flavor when ordering.
Packaging: Latte Stickers may be a better option than sticks, but both seem a little wasteful. The rest of the cup is paper which was perfect. But the stark white takes away from the vibe of the place, I would suggest the brown recycled or earth safe cups or sleeves or both to keep the color scheme from clashing so hard.
Price: Above Average. Less than 6 dollars for a premium latte. I will be trying this place again and may edit depending on the amount received next time. I would have paid a tad more for advertised quantity for the quality.
Area: Surprisingly clean. You don't expect this level of cleanliness in a drive thru in russell springs, and while other drivers had issued following the entrance and exit arrows it is a nice area to get in and out especially during Pre-127.
Staff: The young woman who served me while in the drive through was wonderful. She called me 'hun' which was delightful, and apologized for the wait in a way that seemed very genuine.
One young worker (not the window) seemed a bit frazzled as she rushed between the counter and the window area making coffees, a bit overwhelmed I am sure as it seemed she was the only one trying to rush out the drinks.
It was very odd to see two people attempting to put powdered sugar into a container while a place is so busy, using the same counter that customers drinks where being lined up on. A 1-2 pound bag of what i hope was powdered sugar for some reason seemed to require 4 hands.... I am hoping it was just busted and needed to be put somewhere quickly. It seemed like a waste of service-power as people where driving away without making payments or getting their coffees.
SMAP- A semi-private group that you needed to join in order to see full posts and Menu, I opted not to and went instead as a blind shop _
All together this seems like a calm and quiet place when it isn't busy. It has a nice smell to the building of fresh brew and 2 entance/ exits which makes it vital during this time of year as an option for coffee. Not a bad experience :) I hope you all enjoy and this review helps!
I recommend the turtle premium latte with an extra...

Read moreJava Springs is one of the nicest coffee shops I have ever been in. It's nothing like anything in Russell Springs, it has warmth, great coffee, extra specials employee's, all are very friendly. Very classy place!
