I love antics, so finding this treasure of a store was very exciting and i looked for ward to it!!!!, Visited the MIDTOWN R Street location of the antic store. This is the 2nd location we have visited. Great, lovely and beautiful items. However not so price friendly; but then again I was expecting it since due to the location. We did not appreciate staff following us and other customers around, pretending to shop and straighten out things but snooping and hovering everytime we would stop at a vender's area to look. We had to use the bathroom and an employee was just standing behind me, when I was waiting for my turn to use the bathroom. I don't know why they feel the need to do that. Definitely feel uncomfortable and un welcome and it made us a bit uneasy, we barely bought 3 things and ended up leaving. Definitely will not be returning back to this location. Not a...

This store was a great experience up until I got to the register. Once my friend finished checking out before me, I was waiting my turn at the register for one of the employees to let me know they were ready for me. They said nothing and stared at me, and then one of the women at the counter put her hands up and shook her head, like she was irritated or frustrated that I would quietly wait to approach the counter. It was an uncomfortable situation, and after getting over my initial guilt for causing them any inconvenience, I realized how very rude it was of her. Despite enjoying looking around the different vendor sections, my friends and I will likely not be returning here due to the weird atmosphere...

I've said this to many friends--I'm a buyer, not a shopper. Taking me to a place like this can be dangerous. They have lots of booths curated by individuals, so you never know what you may find. I was visiting from Texas and thus had to be a bit more selective with my purchases. I still found an original framed painting and a cute cup. I unfortunately could not get the decorative suit of armor--that guy would have looked great holding a bottle of wine in my kitchen. At the checkout, they also had some cute cards, and I picked up a couple to send back to loved ones that said "Stay Gold" with the Golden Gate Bridge and a rainbow in the background.
