Ive done a lot of shopping here. Customer service is garbage. Many items are good quality but i cant count how many returns just on home appliances ive made. I would rather have my teeth pulled than deal with these people. My most recent attempt of a return was for a deep fryer. It worked one time. Well it quit half way through on the first go around. I thought maybe i put it together wrong but i rechecked about 15 times and it was all how it said it should be. No power to fryer tho. So as i call the manufacturer, they tell me go to the store and exchange with them, otherwise the manufacturer can only refund. Macy's have been everything but helpful. "You need to call and get a warranty on it even though you bought it 11 days ago. Oh and since its been used we cant take it back." This is after i had to drive an hour to my nearest macys. (One way) i tried calling the store for over an hour and the operator kept sending me to the home dept. and not a single person over an hour answered the phone. And i get stuck driving home another hour, with a P.O.S. deep fryer that doesnt work. Needless to say, after several difficulties, i will spend thousands of dollars at a store that will honor their word, and "attempt" to help the customers keeping the store alive. They will make lots of money, but none of it will be from me. Im now a new loyal customer to sears. Always liked them but now i get what i expect. My brother happened to buy the same one...on the same day, his doesnt work either and he just called Bella and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had a terrible and embarrassing experience at Macy's yesterday. I went to buy two dresses, my card kept getting declined so I used my checkbook. The employee Simon was on the phone for 10 minutes having difficulty accepting a check because it was his first time so after I left the store not being able to pay for my dresses I realized I was using my expired card which was 100% my fault. I went back 20 minutes later since they kept the dresses on hold, I was so embarrassed prior to this I forgot Simon never gave my $25 gift card back. When I returned to the store they said they had no gift card, so I ended up never getting it back. All the worker did was write my name and number down and I still haven't heard from them. This is exactly why I prefer to online shop. The customer should always be right in situations like this. I would never make a scene, but I'm extremely upset how they handled the situation and will not be back. Since the employee recognized that I was there earlier she should have called Simon to confirm I had a gift card. They made me feel like I was stealing. I wish they could look at cameras to see it was never...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBeen shopping here, it seems like forever. Had to return shoes bought in Dec for Christmas present. Spoke with Tito, an "acting mngr' at the store who wouldn't return the shoes. First he said there was a 90day return policy... it hasn't been 90days. Then said with the holidays returns ended prior week. asked him about exchanges...nope can't do. Asked for any assistance as shoes don't fit and we live aways from Macy's, nope can't do anything about it. Asked for mngr, he was it, per him. Again Asked the return policy, he said 30days this time but 90days for holidays. Again pointed out it has not been 90days. He said 90dats from the start of the sales for the holiday, not from when you purchase it! What?? Since when is that a policy? We have to contact corporate for any assistance as he's the only mngr on today, per him. The new norm people. You're a "karen" if you complain,...
