PJ's Asia One Market — Local services in Saint Augustine

The young lady working up front was unbelievably snappy and rude today and I wish I didn't have to write this review as I have been a customer here for years and have always gone out of my way to support this business. I routinely buy items here that I could easily buy elsewhere in town for the same or lower prices just to help keep this locally owned specialty store around. When taking some items from the refrigerated cabinets in the back, the door naturally slams on its own by no doing or intent of the customer. You would have thought the crime of the Asian Century had been committed as the young lady angrily said, "these doors don't naturally close softly, PLEASE CLOSE THEM SOFTLY!" and condescendingly tapped her finger on a faintly written sign on the door that most people would hardly see. Need I point out that these are their doors on their cabinets that they have set up and that they close themselves? Even if there was a valid point to be made, there are far more reasonable ways to do this without a snotty attitude and staring daggers at a customer. I shrugged that off as a fluke and continued to gather some items. When I approached the front, I simply placed the items on the counter and didn't say anything. The same young lady looked up from what she was doing with an angry gaze and said "Okay, I'm kind of busy at the moment so you can back off with that alright?!?!" At that point I decided to walk out and will not be returning...

Was in the store a week ago and the girl working there was very very rude. We were ready to check out and the girl was doing her own thing. My wife ask if we can pay and I hear her wisper saying "she has eyes you don't have to say anything". Then when we went to pay she told us the minimum for using a card was 10 dollars which is fair enough but then she said another rude comment saying "if we don't have 10 dollars then we need to beat it" basically telling us to leave the store if we don't have the cash. I kindly went and grabbed a few more products and paid by card and left. I didn't drive from an hour away for rude and poor customer service. We never have this problem when the owners are working. But I guess this is their daughter and they need to teach her better working manners and not to be rude and taking down to...

Once we left the store, I immediately went to go check if I’m the only one but NO! So many other people have left one star reviews for the exact same woman who is absurdly rude. She must be part of the family who own and operate the store because with how many reviews are written about her, she’d be fired otherwise. She was so incredibly rude about my son and we will never ever be returning. I’d rather drive up to Jacksonville or, gasp!, order from Amazon than support this store again. Just remember that, ownership, when you get mad that Amazon is putting small businesses owners out of business.
