Mister Car Wash — Local services in Saint Louis Park

I’ve never been to this location, and usually go to the Brooklyn Park Mister Car Wash. the Saint Louis park location does things differently. They want people to get the interior cleaned first and pay a total of $32 for a basic interior and exterior cleaned in a package. Now I didn’t know this and went into the exterior clean line first because that’s how every other mister car wash does it. I paid my $10 for the basic car wash, and the attendant let me know next time to go into the interior line first. When I finished with my exterior wash, I asked a different attendant if I could still get the interior just vacuumed since I missed that part. That individual told me I could, and directed me to drive back through there for just a vacuum. When I got into the interior line, that attendant told me that they do not offer a vacuum only option after I explained to him that I already got the exterior wash. He told me the price for the interior/exterior package. And I just thought that was ridiculous for me to pay $32 for a basic wash and vacuum. Especially when other locations offer free vacuuming after the exterior wash. The signage in the front does not make it clear that customers have to drive through the interior side first to get both services. When I offered this as feedback to the workers they shrugged it off. I asked to speak with a manager who was supposedly on break, and they said “he’ll be out in a minute.” But I decided not to waste my time and left. I’ll never go back here and I wouldn’t recommend this...

I brought in my one-month-old car, practically brand new, for a full interior and exterior cleaning. They took the vehicle and, less than 10 minutes later, called me to say it was done. Initially, I didn’t inspect closely because I was on a phone call, but once I looked around, I noticed several issues.

The interior still had visible dust in multiple areas, and the windshield had noticeable stains that hadn’t been cleaned. A latte spill on the passenger-side cloth rug was still there. When I pointed it out to a staff member, she kindly said they typically charge $2 for it but would clean it for free as a courtesy since I was a new customer. However, the spill was never cleaned. Additionally, the driver-side floor still had dirt and appeared not to have been vacuumed properly.

I returned to the staff and showed them the areas that were not properly cleaned. They apologized and promised to return the car in spotless condition. When I again mentioned the rug, they contradicted their earlier statement and said they don’t clean cloth rugs at all.

Less than five minutes later, they called me again. Some of the issues were improved, but not all. The windshield still had stains, and the driver-side floor mat was about 90% vacuumed. At that point, I decided to leave, as I couldn’t spend the whole day chasing a proper cleaning.

I had the worst experience with this place. My son left his ipod in the back seat of my SUV and when we got back in the ipod was gone. I was told by the manager that he spoke to the employees who cleaned the car and checked their pockets, and viewed the surveillance video. However I was told the cameras were not clear to see everything and no doubt the employees know the procedure followed when items are reported missing and would not keep it in their pockets. It's disgusting that an adult would steal from a child. The manager also informed me that there was nothing he could or would do as per company policy they are not responsible for items left in a vehicle. Of course they don't tell you this until after you have already surrendered your vehicle to be cleaned. An employer is responsible for the actions of their employees for misconduct occurring in the course of business in my opinion. What I found most disturbing was that the manager didn't even seem concerned about it, never even offered an apology for what happened to my sons ipod while my vehicle was in their possession. If you are going to use this place I would advise you leave NOTHING in your vehicle as apparently for this company any personal property is fair game...
