Selection of crafts is one of the best. However, checking out is always a nightmare. They really should have a 20 items or less lane. It never fails when we are ready to check out. There are a ton of people checking out, too, and they have a mountain of stuff in their carts. Most people don't organize their stuff by pricing either, so they literally have to look at each item individually instead of grouping them together so the cashier can do ×quantity of that same dollar amount. I know people are going to say that "well, it's not my job to do that," but it makes the lines move faster (just be a decent human being & help do your part)... So yeah, they really need to have a quick checkout lane, like a 20 items or less lane.
Also it seems they are always understaffed, so if you need help in fabric, you will be waiting a long time for the help, which, honestly, you will wait a long time in any departmenr for help. Which is really annoying when you see how many managers are just standing by the front doors, pretty much doing nothing. The managers also never seem to help out at the registers when the lines get long.
So, great craft selection. but terrible staffing issues. We did have 1 girl who was really helpful in fabric and has also been our cashier a few times, which she is always really nice and was really sorry when we got stuck waiting for a lady one day who need a half yard of fabric for almost 30 different bolts of fabric. We literally were there waiting behind that lady for almost 2 hours. We would have gone somewhere else, but no one else had the fabric we needed. She did call for more help, but no one ever should up. Surprise. surprise though, the help that was saposta come was 1 of the 3 mangers just standing at the front doors doing nothing.... So again, great crafts, terrible...
Read moreI always enjoy looking at Hobby Lobby and this started out as any trip usually does. Before we left the store, we made our way toward the front, we ended up walking through the last aisle of 90% off Christmas products. All items were together with several 90% off signs, none of which had exclusions listed as I have become familiar with reading while I shop there. The Christmas candy and food were all part of the same aisle with the same 90% off signage. I took a bag of some and walked over to where 2 employees were nearby and started to ask the gentleman in dress clothes if the food was included because it usually is not. Before I could even finish my sentence of "Hey. The Christmas stuff has 90% off, are..." He stopped me and gestured toward the aisle I had just come from and said "It's all over there." He was clearly bothered by my attempt to ask a question and I quickly turned to the 2nd employee to ask my question in full. She was able to answer me with no problem and he turned and walked away not even acknowledging his decision to not listen to the customer's question. I share this because he clearly (based on what I know about the dress code ther) is in a leadership....no, a manager position. Leaders provide examples to follow. He should be creating a positive example for his team, not what I...

We had been in the store fore awhile looking around I had already gotten some paints and was looking at more, all of a sudden an employee appreared at the end of the aisle we were in and said really load, " Do you all need help?" In return I said nope just looking at paints and then I said do we look like we need help? The worker just walked away. Now this has really bothered me. I dont think myself or my boyfriend look like thieves but this seems to happen to us a lot especially in walmart, but never in hobby lobby! What is the deal? Have people always been this rude? And does anyone else have this same issue? Im just curious! Looks like i wont venture from the O'Fallon location again at least we dont get...
