We went to the LongHorn Steakhouse in St. Peter’s to celebrate my daughter’s birthday, and the experience was incredibly disappointing. From the beginning, things went wrong. My friend’s salad (warm) came with croutons even though she specifically asked for none. Our server, Tony, checked in with us after delivering the food 1 time from a table away, so we couldn’t fix it and she never got dressing on the side she requested. The cooked food itself was cold, my Wild West Shrimp was served on a kids plate with a giant glob of butter, and the birthday sundae was honestly disgusting. It felt like an afterthought, not a celebration. Tony only came to our table a handful of times and brought the check before we ever had a chance to mention it was a birthday dinner. When we finally did, he said, “Well no one told me,” placing the blame on us despite his lack of attention all evening. In the beginning, he gave my 7 and 8-year-old girls large cups, and when I asked for kids’ cups, he replied, “I doubt she drinks from a sippy cup at home.” Completely unnecessary and condescending. Meanwhile, we watched him constantly checking on a table of men who were clearly running up a big alcohol tab: bringing them bread quickly, chatting, and being attentive. At our table (two women with two young girls) we were largely ignored. We ended up clearing our own space onto a table across the aisle and getting our own boxes before Tony brought the check. My friend later emailed the company to express our concerns, and the response was basically, “You should’ve asked for a manager.” That’s just not good enough. Guests shouldn’t have to chase down a manager when they’re being overlooked during what’s supposed to be a celebratory dinner. This was an incredibly disappointing experience, and while I’ve enjoyed LongHorn in the past, I don’t plan on returning to this location.

Let’s talk about service meaning house or take out. I literally waited over 30 mins for a someone to pick up the line for me to place a callin order. Frustrating as ever working 10:30-6:30 when I don’t take lunch I try to call them. I was hung up on once then called twice after the first 12 minutes of just rodeo music and talking I hung up. I was headed to the location due to work I get all the way here it’s 5 people dinning with about 3 staff members talking and wiping down ish. My call still on their phone ringing. The bartender says soon as I ask for a manager did you have a to go order I didn’t hear the phone ringing then I pointed out my call still on their phone ringing. The new manager wasn’t helpful made an excuse as to why the bartender couldn’t get the call mind you it was three calls the first one I was hung up on. This is ridiculous and 2.5 stars on Yelp is very befitting for this low vibration establishment they are not busy at all the phone should be answered at all times. But if you standing around running your mouth I bet you can’t hear the damn phone bartender. 3 calls for takeout is ridiculous and still had to stand in the place and wait with low blood sugar I just wanted food. As I was waiting their phone rang again 3 times the bartender in the kitchen running her mouth I told her your phone ringing again she got upset saying what😅

This was my first and last time visiting this location. First of all, we had a party of 18, I understand everyone may not be able to sit exactly near each other but they literally had us in three separate locations that defeats the whole purpose of us coming to eat together. Secondly my waiter, Carl, I believe his name was very unattentice and kind of snappy. I kinda believe he was racist he took forever to take our order, but not "other people". The other black couple that was near us ended up complaining about the same thing which kind of solidified my belief. Gave us water, came back 15 minutes later, took the drink and appetizer order, came back 15 minutes later and took the food order. Took forever to get the food. Never apologized for the delay. The appetizer, which I ordered the tonions were ICE cold. The food was bland and COLD, which now that I think about it, maybe the food was prepared quickly and he just had our food sitting back there forever before he brought it to us. My brussels sprouts were slightly overcooked he forgot one of our order of fries, and went told, didn't seem that concerned, no apology there either.

Quite honestly my family and I got tired of paying the huge bucks for big names like Outback, and Texas Roadhouse and getting substandard meals. The last 2 times we went to Texas Roadhouse and paid 30-40 a plate for T bones.. and got steaks that were mostly grisly and fat… when I tried to talk to the manager, I was met with a love it or leave it attitude… GOODBYE TEXAS ROADHOUSE. OUTBACK just continued to get worse and worse…, the food is now 1/2 the amount you used to get, the filet is squat like a reg steak, as if it was cut in half. They changed their once delicious mashed potato’s to substandard blah… AGAIN… well over $100 for a dinner that sucked. BYE OUTBACK. TIRED of being robbed, and them thinking we will believe we are being fed what you paid for! NO!

LONGHORN steak house may seem LOST AMONGST TRH and OB because of advertising… LONGHORN is not out there tooting their horn like TRH and OB. They aren’t big, obnoxiously loud, or over the top in their presentation of themselves…. So it seems old fashion to a lot of the younger lot..,

But where they OUT SHINE both TRH AND OB is in their food,…….the quality, presentation, and quantity.

We started eating at LONGHORN this past summer after one last disappointing meal at OB…, before that TRH… both had multiple chances and failed on every one.

We fell in love with LONGHORN. It was more laidback, quiet in a NICE classy restaurant sort of way. The decor is perhaps a little outdated, but comfortable for the venue. It is a steak house after all…, and personally it reminds me of my love of country life and horses…, so I feel at home there.

LONGHORN may not have all the glitzy fancy commercials, or constant in your face “HERE WE ARE” attitude… which is FINE by me! Because they have what really counts. GREAT FOOD!!

We have eaten there perhaps 5 or 6 times over this summer, and not once have we been disappointed! The food was ALWAYS good quality, and the quantity was very sufficient. It came hot, well seasoned, cooked to order, and looking and TASTING delicious!! The steaks were very tender, and juicy! The strawberry salad is scrumptious!! And beautiful to look at… a lovely salad! My mother loves their crispy Brussels sprouts as well.

It’s always a pleasant experience when we go.

Our wait staff was for the most part fairly good. Several were young or new at their jobs and still have a lot to learn, but did a good job non the less.

AND THE BEST PART OF THIS WHOLE LONGHORN EXPERIENCE? Aside from the DELICIOUS food?? THE COST!! We not only have a wonderful experience while at Longhorn, but receive quality, quantity, at a FAIR PRICE! The FOOD quality far outruns TRH and OB…., but especially in the pricing.

ID GLADLY PAY A GOOD DOLLAR FOR A FANTASTIC MEAL ANYTIME, then millions for a limited plate of dull, tasteless, fatty, foods…,

TRH and OB are always tooting their own horns at being such great eateries, making promises of quality product….AND FOR THE LAST SEVERAL YEARS THEYVE BOTH SLIPPED DRASTICALLY!!

WANT YOUR MONEYS WORTH?? L O N G H O R N!

We won’t go back to the hype of TRH or OB…

We have become big L O G H O R N Supporters,...

My name is Kevin E. Hicks. Me and My Family ate at Your Longhorn Steakhouse location, excuse Me, "Wronghorn Steakhouse" in Saint Charles, Missouri (Cave Springs Shopping Center.)

We were seated after twenty (20) minutes once entering the restaurant. Our waitress came to the table to take Our order and Her nasty attitude was noticeably present. We gave the waitress Our order and then She left.

The waitress returned a little longer than what I would anticipate to get drinks. We didn't see her anymore after She finally got Our drinks. Also, My Wife ordered a salad that was never brought to Her until the dinner actually arrived (My Wife observed that the party next to Us were given Their salads prior to Their meal.) The waitress had the nerve to say "You should have gotten this salad prior to the meal coming out." Never apologized.

The servers brought Our food out and Our waitress made her way back to the table to ask Us if We needed anything else. We asked for a couple items and She went and got them.

During Our dining experience the waitress never once came back to the table to check on Us. She continued to walk past Our table and never once stop to ask if there was anything that We needed.

My Wife finally stopped Our waitress on her tenth (10th) pass and told Her we needed Our drinks refilled. The waitress gave Us this look of "disgust" and went to grab Our drinks. Our waitress returned and gave Us Our drinks. While providing Us with Our drinks She actually spilled one of the drinks and didn't even so much as say "sorry" or bat an eye at what She had just did. My Wife told Her that We wanted Our check. The waitress brought the check to Us and didn't say one word. She didn't even say "thank you" for dining at the restaurant.

My Wife got up and went to speak to an older gentleman (white male) who looked like a manager (We never asked if He was a manager nor did He tell Us that He was a manager.) My Wife explained to the gentleman that Our waitress was beyond disrespectful, rude, and provided Us with horrible service. The gentleman apologized for the waitress service and asked if He could provide Us with a "gift card" for the Kansas City, Missouri location (We are in Saint Charles for a basketball tourney.) We told the gentleman that We appreciated His offer but "no thank you." We told the gentleman "no" because We never plan to eat at Your establishment again.

I would like to say that I am deeply disturbed with the service We received at Your restaurant. Me and My Wife have never witnessed service so hideous and horrendous.

I would like to state that the gentleman who attempted to help Us did go above and beyond, and even repeatedly apologized. I really feel sorry for Your restaurant if this is the type of service that You're providing.

ATTN: I only gave You "1 Star" because it wouldn't allow Me to post until I selected at least "1 Star." Honestly, Your service alone didn't deserve any...

I’m not quite sure how to ‘star’ my experience tonight (6-19-24). We stopped in about 8:35 pm. Our waiter was very friendly. My wife & I have been to this location several times since it is near our home. A couple months ago I had one of the most well seasoned & flavorful steaks at this location. My wife ordered the 12 oz Ribeye with broccoli & a side salad. I ordered a 12 oz Ribeye as well. I ordered a side salad, Brussel sprouts with honey glaze & roasted corn on the cob. My waiter told me they were out of honey glaze (ok, no biggie) & they were out of roasted corn. I was surprised they would be out of a new promotional item that they want people to order. Again, no major issue. I just went with the Ribeye, salad & Brussel sprouts (without glaze). After a few minutes our waiter came back & said they only had 1 Ribeye left. Well, I knew what to do after 30 yrs. of marriage; my wife got the 12 oz Ribeye. He asked me if I wanted the 20 oz Ribeye. I asked if I could have it at the 12 oz Ribeye price. It’s only $6 difference. He said he’d ask the manager. I was hopeful, since they were out of other food items. The waiter came back & said the manager said no way. I was a little surprised since it was only $6 difference. I even said so to our waiter. Our waiter said he even explained to the manager that other food items we had ordered were out & wanted to try meet our needs. The manager said no again.

I told the waiter there really wasn’t any other steak I wanted (I really do enjoy Ribeye). To be honest, I was shocked the manager would make such a ‘poor customer service mistake’. I’m in customer service. I’ve eaten at 100’s of restaurants. It seemed like such a small ‘fix’ for the manager to do, to make up for the other inconveniences (running out of food items).

I’ve seen managers comp a table’s meal because it took too long in the kitchen, wasn’t cooked exactly right or to make up for some other inconvenience to the customer. It surprised me this manger wanted to save $6 so much, he was willing to lose a $50 ticket & make a poor customer service impression.

I don’t want to seem cheap by not ‘swallowing’ the $6 myself. To me it seemed like a small courtesy on behalf of the restaurant to make up for the other inconveniences.

I did apologize to our waiter. I felt bad that he missed out on earning a tip, because of a less than wise management decision.

I hope the regional manager or senior manager at this location can address this & help this manager make a better decision in the...
