I love coming to this thrift store, but today I came to the store at 3:30 and checked to see when they closed. On Saturdays, they close at 4, so I would think that I had a little less than 30 minutes to shop. The place was packed which should be a great thing- I mean, the money they make is going to a great cause, but as soon as I walked in the door, I heard the employees pressuring people to hurry up. Almost every single person working there was telling people that they had five minutes left and the doors would be locked. One employee said that they need to close the store before 4, so they have time to put things away! (Um, that happens AFTER closing time.) It wasn’t even 3:45pm. I was able to find three things that I wanted to buy during this mad rush to clear the store, but the guy who checked me out was extremely rude, didn’t say a word to me- no hello, or have a nice day, as if I was in trouble for not scrambling out at 3:45. I was out the door at 3:50 and still sitting in my car when they all left the store at 4:02pm. I’m pretty sure they could have made a bunch more sales if they just kept the store open until 4 like the sign on the door advertises. I love supporting my local thrift stores and CASA has always been a must, but that was awful. If they want to close at 3:45pm, put that...
Read moreThe worst experience of my life trying to help donate for women and children. From the run around of 3 phone calls and finally Outreach says to take to a certain address this thrift store. The person who was managing on Monday was horrible. Super rude, and not helpful at all. I'm glad I truly didn't need any assistance to unload 4000 worth of pull-ups and other essentials. Which they didn't take by the way because it was for the shelter and not the thrift store!!! Such a joke really. To be so petty about whether I could use a thrift store cart or not because it wasn't for the thrift store. Even though the people definitely above her pay grade said to bring there. Such a loss. I truly believe in helping women issues but this was a huge slap in the face. I'm just glad there are others who was way more...
Read moreThis is absolutely one of the higher priced thrift stores and the quality doesn’t always match the price. I try to remember it’s for charity when visiting but I remember when this place was more like a junk store. If you are there 30 minutes before closing some employees start getting an attitude and by 15 minutes to closing they are turning off lights and throwing around your purchases. They also have odd operating hours. The current cash register operator is a bit touchy at times. They will haul all your heavy donations all over the city but won’t help you put anything in your car and won’t hold past two days if you have to wait for help with a large item. Overall the attitude is haughty in store but there are a few...
