Last night I attended the quarterly clothing swap which was a paid, private event. I was part of a group of 4 and our tickets were checked at the door. The door attendant shared with us a free drink was included with the purchase of the ticket. Okay, cool! The tables were a bit crowded so I approach the bar and asked about my free drink. The person at the bar was explaining to me that the event was private and I'd need to purchase a ticket in order to get a drink. I was genuinely confused as to why she was telling me this?? Why didn't she ask to see my ticket instead of assuming I didn't have one...how else would I have gotten into the event and known about the drink if I hadn't already paid to be there? My friends later joined me for their drinks and were served without question or hesitation. Read moreSans Market is really cool! There is a expansive selection of different products that are all eco-friendly. Hand and body soaps, conditioner and shampoo in both liquid and bar form. There was also stuff like a tooth powder I'll try when I've used up my toothpaste at home. You can bring reusable containers of your own or purchase some from the store, and are charged by the ounce. I think this is a really great way to reduce the amount of plastic in our daily lives. When I went in there was only one employee and despite it being super busy at peak hour she was super friendly and really attentive...
