I've always really loved this store for their great selection of magical tools and items despite the fact that over the years it has started to feel more and more like a tourist trap. Their staff all seem very nice and knowledgeable on most beginner level topics which was nice when I was just starting out in my practice years ago. However recently I noticed one small thing that I thought was weird and it's rather nitpicky but I still believe it's a valid criticism. With my purchase recently, the staff placed a few paper advertisements, likely aimed towards informing tourists on witchcraft and the services and products that the Hex/Omen stores had to offer (books, psychic readings and services of that nature). What I was not super happy about was the pamphlet they included that was titled "The Witches Dos and Don'ts". At first, I was pretty happy that they were attempting to provide information for non-practicing tourists but then I read it and realized that some of the information was inaccurate. One of the examples being in the first section titled "witches don't do evil" and then explained this statement and one of the explanations given on why apparently witches cannot and do not practice baneful magick was a quote from... the WICCAN rede? This is inaccurate and honestly pretty annoying to see as a non-wiccan. Not all witches are wiccan. There were more inaccuracies in this pamphlet and it was a small annoyance to see as a seasoned practitioner. I get that they were likely trying to win over the skeptical and fearful tourists of unaccepting religions but it is still inaccurate none the less and this particular pamphlet should not be included unless updated. It makes me worry that any beginner practicioners who may see this will think that they need to be boxed in when it comes to their practice. I feel that information can be provided in a more generalized way rather than misinforming people who are likely already wildly misinformed on witchcraft and pagan religions in the...

I attended a seance led by Danielle. I was disappointed. I am a firm believer there are individuals who have a gift of communicating with the spirits of those who have died. You either have the gift or you don't. I brought my sister with me. We were hoping to connect with our mother among other persons. There were 2 other couples at the seance. I felt the information Danielle gave was too generic. She could only tell you if the spirit was male or female. The rest of the information was very general. No specific message. No names. No specific letter a name began with. There was also a pet she said that stayed near her shoulder who was very timid but no other description of the pet. Despite the general information, the other 2 couples appeared to connect with someone. Im puzzled how they could connect with the information Danielle gave. Danielle finally asked me and my sister who we wanted to connect with. I gave her a name. She came back with a female talking about her prayer cards, the memorial card you receive at a funeral. The female sat very straight and crossed her legs at the ankles. Her religion was important but conflicting. Unfortunately none of this described anyone we knew. Danielle asked a couple of times -"Are you sure?". That night my sister and I were unable to connect...

This is a very appealing store when it comes to the merchandise that they sale. However, on January 7th 2025 I called and spoke with a sales woman and asked how long would it be before I receive my purchase if I buy from the online store. I was told that they ship out a big shipment every week. Before making the payment I told the lady over the phone what product it was because I wanted to make sure instructions came along with the product. So, she said that I should have it in about a good week or so. So I called the store today to ask how many more of the candles that I purchased did they have and the lady said they was completely out of stock and that my order would have to be shipped all the way from their New Orleans location and she didn't know how long it would take. They should make people aware that online orders come from another state and that it may take a while to receive our merchandise. She could have told me that that store didn't have any in stock when I mentioned what item I was interested in. Then I had to pay a 10.00 shipping and handling fee but they don't know when I might get my package. My parents shop there and give them good business because alot of the merchandise is entirely too expensive but my parents have always been loyal customers. This is a good way to...

Spent the weekend in salem and came into this shop with my mother. She was so excited to come into the store as she had a bad experience in the store in. New orleans. However The shop owner Paul immediately greeted us and had a great conversation. He and his staff were so Incredibly NICE!! Thank you so much paul for making my mothers day!!

Personally, one of my favorite shops in all of Salem. I make it a point to come here every year that I visit and am always satisfied with the vast selection of products and the staff is always very friendly and helpful. Perfect shop for the Grey Witch or overall fans of Voodoo culture.
