Village Silversmith — Local services in Salem

I went there on Wednesday 12/27, trying to figure out the perfect stones for my journey. The staff was nothing more than wonderful! They were patient, kind, considerate, and extremely professional. They were the greatest help on my quest and it made my entire trip worth it! I found the perfect stones and THEN SOME! I found EVERYTHING I could possible want and more. I must have spent over an hour looking at all the precious items in that store and I felt NO PRESSURE ( I had felt bad because I didn’t want to feel like a burden or a pest), in fact, they encouraged me and helped me with any thought or question that came into my mind, and I was definitely scatterbrained that day. I ended up with a HUGE collection of awesome stones and automatically started to feel their presence. The staff on shift on Wednesday and Tuesday were the best. The prices were great too because you got your bang for your buck and still could go back for more and not break the bank! I highly recommend this store if you want to start your precious gem, jewelry, stone, ANYTHING...

Terrible customer service! My sister and I have been coming to the Village Silversmith for years now - it's a huge part of how we spend our sister days. It's the reason we come to Salem. We have always been met with cordial, knowledgeable and respectful employees. Today was a completely different experience; the two managers were watching our every move like we were potential shoplifters. The male manager basically stared us down as we were selecting crystals to purchase. The female manager was snippy and had a poor attitude - like we were putting her out when we asked you look at some charms in the jewelry case. We have never experienced such terrible customer service there! We walked out and spent the money we usually spend at the Village Silversmith at other shops in Salem. We won't return to the Silversmith. After years of my sister and I purchasing crystals there, those two lost today's purchases from us, and lost two...

I went to this shop to get geodes for a new shelf. I ended up paying $400 not because things were too pricy but quite the opposite. The product is amazing and everything is real and pure. The staff was super friendly greeting coming in and thanking me for shopping there. They all knew about each crystal and mineral which I really care about because that means they are dedicated to their jobs. The cashier was super friendly and couldn't be better. Whoever the owner of this shop is should be extremely proud of their employees and their hard work. You can bet a million dollars on it that I will be returning to this shop. They have a selection of a little bit of everything and makes me want to buy the whole shop. I've been searching for geodes for a long time and now have found my go to shop.
