Be very Careful when dealing with this retailer and especially this store. I went in to purchase a suit for my mothers upcoming inevitable funeral and was helped by the Assistant Manger Wang who portrayed himself to be nice and helpfull. After I explained to him my situation and he fitted me for my suit I asked him the price which he responded $680. Once he looked at my expression and without me saying anything he walked away and went to the computerized register. As I walked over he immediately reduced the price to $514. It was then that I explained to him that Men's Wearhouse web site had suits advertised for $250. He responded by saying that was a promotion that ended yesterday and they didn't have anything in my size. It was then I took offense to his statement that he thought me to be that stupid. As an average size 45 year old man they had nothing in my size? At that time I was extremely agitated did not say another thing. I gave him my card, paid for the suit and left the store. On the ride home It began to sink in that this guy was playing me. As soon as I got through the door I jumped on the Ipad brought up the web page and sure enough designer suit $250. I called customer service told them the story and they connected me to the store manager. The store Manager told me he would be able to order me one of those other suits if I wanted to come back in and get fitted all over again. I was not happy with the idea nor did I have the time to go back to a store I just left to start over a process i thought I had completed an hour before. As a compromise the store manager said he would drop the price to $324 for my purchase and even though it was higher than the $250 advertised it would save me the trouble of going back in so I agreed and appreciated the gesture. However when I checked my bank statement 2 days later they where short $66 on my refund. After I went through the trouble again of calling customer service and speaking with Nichole who kept interrupting and talking over me she informed me that the additional $66 was for alterations which was never discussed. I explained to her through this entire process it was never brought to my attention of the break down in cost. It started at $680 then went immediately To $514 then to $324 and not once was cost of alterations seperated in the dicussions. She said I was aware of it cause it was on my receipt. Which she kept repeating even after I told her a receipt is something you receive after payment and a Bill would break it down before payment. She did not like that. The store Manager Is calling me back tomorrow so we will see. It's not about the money more so then the integrity of the store and it's employees. My career requires a duty belt not suits. I wear a suit three to four times a year. Over the years my wedding party got all are tux's and this will be the fourth and final suit I purchase from them. I would far rather pay $680 from an honest retailer than $2 to Men's wearhouse who as...
Read moreI had a terrible experience at this Mens Wearhouse, just want to remind people we are in the year 2025 Racism should not be a thing still. But at this location I had to deal with racism sadly, I was there early in the day and waited patiently over a hour after I was told to sit down and they would get right to me, I had 4 other customers who were not of African american decent come way after me and get serviced before me eventually my sister who was with me had to intervene and then we were eventually seen and took care of. Then the second occurrence was when I went to get the suit once again same issue i was there first and only cane to pick up the rental then once again they put me to the side and help everyone else again who is not colored, now once again I have to get out of character and draw attention to finally get my suit after another hour wait to PICK UP my suit. I was so upset I couldn't even try on the suit because I was not trying to wait again. Strike 3 I told them i was a size 13 in shoes then on the day of my sisters wedding I tried on the shoes early morning to see that it was a size 12 that was given I called to speak to them and all they could do is say “sorry man” and thats it. Strike 4 I now return the suite on time but forgot my own personal bow tie in the return suit bag, I go in to speak to staff and was given a attitude so I request to speak to management about the situation and there was no help he supposedly sent a email to someone about the bow tie and when I asked for the email or number to speak to them myself he couldn't provide the email and told me it was for staff only. So how does that help me get my bow tie back? Anyways at the end of the day like I previously stated it is 2025 racism is never okay and that is my experience. This is why it is very important to hire more minorities of color so everyone could be treated fairly instead...
Read moreMy Daughter and now husband chose Men’s Wearhouse to rent Tux’ for there big day at the Salem New Hampshire store. I absolutely do not recommend anyone to this store. Every single Tux’ in the mens party had something wrong. From to small or to big, buttons missing or hanging on 1 tread, dingy to down right dirty looking “white” shirts. The chaos by the staff was laughable. Only one guy knew his stuff and remained calm. But, he was only one person and many people needed one on one attention. What appears to be the person in charge when the manager/s are not there ran around like a chicken with its head cut off. Looking like he is getting a lot done but actually not. The groom and 3 of his groomsmen had to go to Nashua NH to get their suit altered the DAY OF THE WEDDING (imagine the stress of that) because they make you wait 2 days before to pick up and then it is a “seat if the pants” experience as to whether the problems will be made right if there are any. And believe me there will be. When we brought up the problem that the suits were still not right after they came in the morning of the wedding the manager in the Salem store acted like this is a problem out of his control. WE called the Nashua store and asked for help and they said head on in. The manger in Salem should have problem solved this for us! I say to the manger and corporate this is your business and a solution to the problem your company caused should be your problem to solve. Honestly they should shut down this branch if they can’t manage the “You’re gonna like the way you look” motto. Or, as a manager ensure your on duty in the evenings so you can see the chaos, step in and ensure your store and product is represented to a...
