I had a wonderful experience purchasing stained glass supplies from here over the weekend. There were multiple sizes of glass sheets in various colors, solder, lead came, flux, patina, foil, etc. They offer smaller sheets (I think 5”x9”) which is a great way to get a bunch of different colors without breaking the bank. The store only opened about a month ago and they are already planning to expand their glass stock at the beginning of the new year. The owner was incredibly sweet and kind. I can tell she has a true passion for glass work and it absolutely shows! They also sell finished stained glass pieces that are absolutely gorgeous. Google maps has the location wrong as it is a new address. It is actually across the street on the corner of South Main and Fisher Street. When I went, there was plenty of free street parking right across from the store. I truly enjoyed my experience at Glass Ingenuity and I can’t wait...
Read moreI had a wonderful time shopping for glass, foil, solder, tinned wire, came, and bevels today. Cora and Athena were so kind to connect with me while leading a very fun ongoing class. Cora even helped me carry my purchase to my car. All the class participants were having a great time - one person had stumbled upon the class and you could tell she was really enjoying herself.
I drove in from Charlotte and was not disappointed - everything felt right on with pricing and found some gorgeous glass! I found the perfect shade of purple, which is harder than I ever thought it would be. I'll be back for sure! Especially for a fused glass and intermediate stained glass class! Thank you for having your shop open to all of us Cora; I'm so glad to...
Read moreTook my mother here for an experience! I've done stained glass but she never has and we had a good time. Cora Green, the owner makes it fun and easy for those that have never done glass. The class is two hours long if you need that much time, costs $65 each, and is themed to whatever season it is (we had an ocean theme so our choices to make were a turtle, a lighthouse, a starfish and two other patterns I can't remember). The glass is pre-cut and the patterns are already there. The only thing we had to do was copper foil them and then sauter together. Sometimes that's easier said than done but we had a great time! We came home with cute little sun catchers and some awesome time spent together!...
