I would never recommend this company. I am taking the time so others will not waste their time or money by using this useless company. I called for a dryer repair - dryer wasn’t always drying. Of course, they use the $99 just to come out - appears to be what’s known as Bait & Switch- take your money and if they have you hooked. First time they came out they gave a 4 hour window with no call before and showed up right before the time was up- wasting 4 hours of my time. The technician didn’t even move the dryer, has no knowledge other than what he “Googled” - said to wipe down the inside vent with a baby wipe. I was NOT impressed and he certainly was NOT believable- At any rate, the problem occurred immediately again. The second call for service- actually moved the dryer- Googled apparently and took off a small section of vent - claiming a the air wasn’t passing through- ridiculous since the vent was extremely flexible and air could clearly pass through. Disappointed because I have never had such an unprofessional service to deal with and paid for. Pretty sure the problem will not be solved- Calling professionals now!    Read moreI used to be a loyal customer purchasing at least 4 pieces of equipment from this company. Recently purchased a Whirlpool stove from them. After the first few uses I noticed that the edge of the stove got extremely hot. It was so warm it left a red mark on my stomach. I have never experienced this with any other electric stove. We had the tech come out and when testing it he had the stove top get so hot that it warped the back panel. When we called Richards Appliances- they said call whirlpool. They provided NO assistance. They would not allow us to return the stove. When we mentioned we had small children the manager replied "tell them to not touch the stove" I understand that they are the middle man however they never even offered to provide assistance to us wit Whirlpool. When purchasing the stove NO ONE ever mentioned that the edge of the stove gets that hot and it is a "design flaw". I will NEVER purchase anything from them again.    Read moreRichards makes the process pretty painful. We have tried them 2x, and will not try again. Techs come unprepared to fix issue, so you always end up paying for the diagnostic visit, then also the subsequent repair visit - even when over the phone you tell them what you want repaired specifically. After they leave, techs ask customer to call main office to talk to sales for any replacement, but techs don't tell main office anything about your model so the main office then asks you the customer to investigate model # etc. which is not helpful when you are at work (esp. after tech was just there). It's always so many calls and so much effort. And then when you finally get a quote, all of their service related charges are 2x others, and they don't even have a plumber on staff or a recommendation to connect gas dryers, so here again they ask you to find your own plumber and coordinate the install. This is just too much for the customer work to provide...
