The one thing I did know was: āI need to find my new favorite place!ā Instagram searches thrift/vintage stores in SLC proceeds to find one with a weird name (iconoCLAD) and promptly decides to go to that one walks up to see a magical cat tree forrest display š„² walks in to see her wildest dreams come true GUYS. They even have a fun dumpster. A f u n d u m p s t e r !!!!! Coolest concept. Everyone there is SO nice. EveryTHING there is SO nice. Just go. Itāll make your day. Thank you (if you magical humans at iconoCLAD are reading this) for making me somehow feel so at home when I had just moved hundreds of miles away from it. I've always loved this business, I've been consigning and shopping here since they opened. I called today to pick up my remaining clothes that go to steep discount tomorrow and was told I have to pay to get them back even though if I don't pick them up they will be donated in a week.
I tried to clarify and asked "when I can pick up my clothes without being charged $1-$3 per item?" and they said I can pick up 9 of my items in a week, but if they're not successful in selling my clothes and there are more than 9 items unsold I will still have to pay get my own clothes back.
So basically after SO MANY years of providing them free inventory now I have to pay for the privilege of letting them consign my clothes... Unfortunately I don't think I'll be consigning here anymore and it really...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe clothes are nice. The people are not. I'm autistic and I struggle so badly with clothes. Putting them on, taking them off, and it gets very overwhelming very quickly. My mom was helping me get a shirt off me when it got stuck in my hair. One of the employees banged on the door and yelled at us that only one person was allowed in the dressing room. There is no sign like that. And I was about to have a meltdown.
We did speak to an employee but we were not apologized to. They brushed us off. This was not good.
Edit: I should add that I was told to tell the employees about it beforehand. I feel as though I should not disclose my personal information like that. They also asked me for my I.D. when purchasing... I felt like my private information was violated. Especially because my name is...
