I brought my brand spanking new engagement ring in to be resized. My fiance totally surprised me, and guessed that my finger size was much smaller than it actually is. On a recommendation, I took it to King's to be resized. The owner took my ring size as an 8 and resized my ring. When I got it back, there was a very rough cut where he added metal at the bottom of the ring that was barely buffed out. Mind you, this ring was 100% pristine, never worn when I brought it in, so this looked particularly heinous.

Also, the ring was way too big. The rings he uses to size you are very rough and beat up, so it takes more effort to slide on and off a finger than a smooth ring. The worst part of all this is that my diamond setting became loose. The jeweler never mentioned that the setting might come loose when expanding the ring so much (2 sizes). I had two watches that were not running, a Rado and a Michelle- both had stopped. Initially, I thought that the Michelle needed a battery replacement but that did not seem to be the problem because, with a new battery, it worked for a short while and stopped again. I took it to Kings Custom Jewelers and was told that the watch needed replacement of the mother board and would cost me $100. They told me that the Rado watch needed to be cleaned and would run me $175. I chose to take the watches with me to Southern California for a second opinion.

The new place had both watches running within 15 minutes. They cleaned the contacts on the michelle watch and changed the battery. They told me that my Rado just needed a battery replacement. The cost to me for both watches was $15. Both are working fine.

I brought in a watch for simple take this piece out $20. They didn't know how to open the watch, in the process damaged a $700 watch ripping the band and bending my buttons damaging the movement. I had barely bought the watch that day and they broke it that day, it was in mint condition. They tried to replace watch with a watch that was used and had water damage. I told them it was unacceptable and to work with me, they pretended to work with me for 5 months then told me to sue them.
