I don't give 5 stars because the bowl transition is a little crazy. It isn't a standard curve, instead it gets much steeper by the top next to the coping. I'm sure any bowl rider can get used to it but still. I bet it is good for airing, a vert skater might love it. That is why most people that come here only hit the street section I think.
Street section is amazing though and there are so many fun features. While the park is one of the older ones in Salt Lake it still holds up as a great skatepark. And it has lights which is rare in Salt Lake for some reason.
After reading some other reviews about trash, cleanliness, and homeless people, I haven't really had a huge problem the dozen times I've been here. There is some trash sure, but I wouldn't call it disgusting, more like a normal level of cleanliness for any public space in a city. The vibe here is fairly d-baggy, compared to other parks. The surrounding area, very probably has some good street spots, so methinks it’s funny, when people wait in line just skate the ledge at the entrance. 🤷♂️ IF you can “air” out of vert.
