Sky Nails — Local services in Salt Lake City

I was so excited to come here with my friend, her and her family have been coming there for years. I left extremely disappointed, I called ahead and was told to come in at 2:30 for a gel manicure and a regular pedicure. And my friend was planned to get her dip powder nails redone and a pedicure as well. IT TOOK 4 HOURS I arrived on time and a lady started my pedicure and another lady did my gel manicure at the same time (totally fine) However the man who seemed to be in charge of the salon was not only incredibly rude and had terrible manners, but he kept taking walk ins when they were clearly understaffed. He took a walk in while I was in the middle of my pedicure 30 minutes after mine had started, they paused my entire pedicure and did the walk ins and I waited nearly an HOUR before they continued my pedicure. He continued to take walk ins over and over again when they were clearly understaffed. While I was waiting for my pedicure to resume the wet towel under my feet became freezing which made me very uncomfortable. And took hours for my feet to warm back up. My friend waited 4 hours just to do her dip nails...they did not have time to do her pedicure because we had somewhere to be at 6pm and still were not able to leave until 6:30...the man seemed so irritated the whole time like we were such an inconvenience to him when he easily could have just told us to come at a different time or not take walk ins while we were getting our nails done. on the brighter side my nails do look great but not worth waiting 4 hours, freezing my feet and still paying $63 and awful awful...

I've been going to Sky Nails for over 15 years. I've experienced the transfer of ownership twice and the changes that come with that are significant. And i have to say, the last owner was my very best friend in every way, in and out of the salon. She passed the Sky Nails Mantel to the very best ladies and gentlemen. Hey Everyone - - I have been having my acrylic nails and pedicures done at Skye Nails on 21st South for years now by Kate, Lance, and other staff. I enjoy that I can customize a pedicure to my liking and desire, depending on my mood or what's going on in my life, and I am charged accordingly, instead of having to pay for the full packages. I am a perfectionist, so it is difficult to do my nails, especially since they are something I can look at all day/night/24 hrs. and critique! My nails turn out 90% of the time, the way I want them to, and enjoy. It's never large mistakes, I just pick out the smallest flaws possible, for instance: a nail not being as straight as it should be, the gel subtly showing brush marks/streaks on one nail, my cuticles that weren't pushed back before the acrylic was put on and they are looking ragged; small little things like that. Coming from a perfectionist like me, 90% is terrific and amazing! I have recommended Skye Nails to my friends, work associates, and family members to get their nails and pedicures done. The place is clean; the staff is always sweeping up; it has just been newly painted; the people that work there are always extremely friendly; staff and customers are fun to talk and joke with; the staff is all very helpful to answer any question I may have; and I have always felt comfortable whenever I have been there with the staff...
