If I could give this Ross 0 stars I would. The racism and racial profiling that occured is unacceptable. As a black woman who has constantly shopped at the store since it opened and bragged about it being the best Ross.
I was in store with a sibling when we were approached by an associate who came up to us and said "you better not be stealing." It was all downhill from there. While two other associates and the store manager were very kind about the whole situation.
The associate was caught in several lies about saying where and what she caught us "stealing." Her logic made no sense when we questioned her about it and presented her with facts. We were told by the accusing associate that she was told "to watch African american women because they steal from this storw all of the time." I have reached out to corporate numerous times and have been given the run around about the investigation being on going. We'll see if any action is taken against the employee.
This experience has completely soured me on the Ross Stores brand. Never again will I shop there. If you're a black woman and shop there, proceed...
Read moreI went with my parents on October 26th, at around 9:00. When we went to check out, we tend to fold our clothes with the security tag available with the tag so we would have nice folded clothes put into the bags. The employee who checked us out, Jan, then proceeded to grab the clothes, scan them hastily, and throw them into the bags. This annoyed my father, but he politely asked my mother to ask the employee for the bag so she could fold and organize everything herself. Jan immediately became rude and snarky, as she said,"I'm not even done with the clothes." My mother replied,"I understand, but we wish to organize it our way." Jan immediately scoffed and said,"..okay," in a rude tone. She continued our transaction without another word, still being hasty and throwing the clothes slightly. Not enough to unfold them, but enough for us to notice. When we finished the transaction, we walked to the side as we still had a bit left to fold. Read moreI won't be going there anytime soon again! Last week I spent 400$ on clothes for my grandkids that were coming to visit. A lady with the name tag ABCDE was cashiering & OBVIOUSLY got angry when I showed up with my basket. She called someone else up to the front to help already making me feel like a nuisance & to top it off she grabbed a large bag & proceeded to SHOVE my items in this bag! Most cashiers fold them or place them nicely, this girl angrily shoved them in the bag! Owners! Look at the camera on 3/01/19 at 11:45 pm & you take a good look at how your cashier treated me! I would have made a big fuss at the time I just wanted to get the hell out of there!
