Extremely unprofessional, bad communication, false advertisement, and bad business practices. Visiting the area for a girls weekend and wanted to show the group the Concho pearls. While there, I found and looked at one of the Concho pearl rings that I admired. Shortly after leaving, I went back to the store to get the price, try the ring on, and get more information on the ring. After a couple of hours debating, I decided to call the store back at 4:55PM and confirm that it was still available and when I could go in to purchase/ resize since I drive back home Sunday morning. The sales associate assured me the ring was still available and to come in at 10AM to pay and start the sizing process. After rearranging plans to be at the store at 10AM, the first sales associate said the ring was likely sold since it wasn’t in the case. Within a minute the original sales associate came back and said that there had been a mistake. She went on to inform me that the business owner’s daughter was labeling inventory and “mislabeled” the ring price. This “mislabeled” price wasn’t noticed until the ring was pulled and was apparently now thousands of dollars more expensive then what the ring was advertised at. I understand that errors happen but to have looked at the ring twice, tried it on, taken pictures, and called to inquire about it, at no point during this process did it become clear that it was “mislabeled”. Additionally, no one informed me prior to coming in that there was an error. A call ahead would have saved me the trip and inconvenience on adjusting our scheduled plans to go in. I have always loved the Concho pearl and was gifted a necklace from my finance from the store. Our goal was to start a collection of the Concho pearl and now I will never go back to Legend Jewelers and I will never recommend or bring people in. And after all of this, to have the audacity to ask if I wanted to buy anything else. I will take my...
Read moreWritten by Tomas Lira ---- January of 2020, I walked into Legend Jewelers and asked Mark Priest, if his business was LGBTQ friendly. I was happy to hear him say that they were so I proceeded to tell him what I wanted.
I brought a keychain with me and told him I wanted to design and produce a men's ring using my ideas and the PRIDE colors. He suggested a "graduation" ring for the base design and we took it from there. When the design was finished, Mark took it and told me he would send me an email with the cleaned up design attached. When I got it back, I let him know it was close to what I wanted but I wanted to "tweak" it a little. I let him know what I wanted and he once again, fixed the design and sent it to me. Little did I know that my ring would come out the way it did.
It took all of 2020 to get it back due to the covid thing and my having to come up with the money since I had been unemployed. December of 2020, I went in and paid off my balance and picked up my beautiful ring. Its my first name initial colored in using the PRIDE colors. On one side is the map of Texas colored in red, white, and blue. On the other side, was written "Family = Love". Included are 14 diamonds that came from my deceased sisters, Argelia Lira's, jewelry. The rings itself was made using the gold from her jewelry along with that of my other sister, Juanita and my Mother Antonia.
This ring has sentimental value and I can only thank my Family, Mark Priest, his staff and all those that worked on this. THANK YOU MARK and THANK YOU...
Read moreWanted to see about purchasing a Concho Pearl and arrived at Legend Jewelers at 8:50 am. Sign on door said Holiday Hours, Mon - Sat open at 9 am. It was 40 degrees out so walked around a bit and came back at 9 am (per my phone). While there were clerks inside, could clearly see the door was still locked so I waited right there in plain sight at the entrance. Finally left at 9:10, as there was no movement towards opening the front door and I wasn't going to hang in the cold any longer. I understand there could have been an issue but they could have at least acknowledged me and let me know they would be delayed opening. Nope, just hanging out in the cold, wondering why they aren't open per their posted hours. Guess they didn't want my business and they won't be getting it ever. I also won't be shopping in downtown San Angelo as a whole, just don't have time to waste with business owners who only want to work hours convenient to them and not convenient to their...
