I must expose unjust and downright abuse when I see it or else I am just as responsible as those who perpetrate it. It’s been a tradition of mine to always stop by the Sassy Fox whenever I’m in town. After all, they do carry fabulous clothes and what’s more important than looking ones best! Turns out, there are MANY things more important than one’s outward appearance…such as their goodness of heart. From what I observed over several months, a more fitting name for this boutique would be “The Hateful Henhouse”. I always looked for one particular saleswoman, Nancy, for her styling abilities, but even more so for her personality. I found her to be talented, funny, and dedicated to helping the feral cats that others ignore because caring about a homeless and helpless animal is none of their concern. As I continued to get the same service from this woman I was accustomed to, I noticed something I had not observed before. My favourite salesperson appeared a little sad. It wasn’t my business to ask, but I did wonder. I had always noticed somewhat of a “divide” between the sales staff. As I paid closer attention, I could see why my friend was sad. I observed two sales people (whom I later learned are the owner and her daughter) behave like the “mean girls” in high school. I witnessed exchanged glances, eye rolling and derogatory comments aimed at the only salesperson who was actually working and somehow managed to remain professional when they could clearly be overheard making disparaging comments about her. I heard their comments and she was close to me, so I know she heard them. Somehow, I think that was the point. I overheard words such as, “stupid, incompetent, idiot and bitch”. Needless to say I was (and remain) appalled, not to mention disgusted. The sales clerk maintained her composure so well that at first I thought she didn’t hear their hateful comments and sneering. Just as I about to walk away, I saw that her eyes were brimming with tears. I was so disgusted that I left the clothes I had intended to purchase and vowed never to return. I couldn’t stop thinking about how the owners bullied and tried to humiliate this woman. I have never returned to the Hateful Henhouse so don’t know whatever happened to the sweetest salesperson I’ve ever met. One thing I do know is that I regret not standing up to those horrible people who bullied her and tried to take her light. Since I failed to do what I should have then, I am doing it now. I feel compelled to share the ugly truth about what lies beneath the Sassy Fox…a bunch of hateful, vindictive, insecure and jealous little brats who instinctively know their worth comes from tearing down the very people they wish they could be. Hateful hens, indeed. If you don’t like bullies, take a stand and shop elsewhere….there are other boutiques in town. Hopefully, you will be lucky enough to meet the saleswoman they were stupid enough to...
Read moreVery racist owner. If you’re not blonde with colored eyes she wants nothing to do with you. It’s true what people say, most whites are racist. Im half white and that side of my family has dark hair. It is horrible how they treat people. I get it all the time unfortunately. They make you feel uncomfortable. She had a help wanted sign in the window and I asked if she was hiring and the sales lady went to ask the owner and she said that she just hired someone. Why will you have a sign in your other store across the street if you already hired someone then I went across the street to talk to the sales lady And asked if they were hiring and she said that yes to talk to the lady across the street because that’s where the owner was and seemed like she was very happy to help me to help me apply, but I told her that the owner across the street said that they were hiring no longer and she just said oh. I already heard those stories we already hired someone don’t try to BS me I’m not one to...
Read moreNew in town, shopped for first time before Christmas, lady at check out wanted address, phone etc when checking out, I asked why she stated in case I return and stated policy. Two of the three items didn't work and I went to exchange not return today and was met rudely by who I can only guess was the owner, stating all sales final and I bought something clearance. Well their entire store looked clearance and the items I purchased were still for sale. No one told me they were final when I purchased as a matter of fact the opposite. Judging from their lack of business they seem to cater to elderly ladies that have probably lived here their entire life. If your looking for progress, don't waste your time here. You'll be treated with disrespect and lies to, and truthfully there are just too many other places with much better items for...
