All Systems Go — Local services in San Antonio

I'm not one to really one to make reviews let alone go out of my way to make a negative one. But I gave these folks 3 chances and the customer service was just awful. I initially called about my gaming pc and asked if they could give upgrade recommendations. They told me to text the model and they said they'd get back with me. Few days past, heard nothing. It happends we get busy and forget no biggie. So i physically went in, told them my intent and the gentleman said he remembered my phone call, and he will be sure to get the tech to contact me. At this point I went somewhere else and got a new processor installed, then i got his text back the next day.. Fast forward, I tried them again, I was interested in getting an ssd and graphics card installed. I like to game a bit, but I'm not super tech savvy. So i was asking questions for clarity. Dude sounded flustered and impatient with my questions and said at one point "i have no idea what you're asking", then he asked if he could call me back because a customer came into the store, as if I'm not a potential customer...by the time he called back I went to Elite Technologies, got a full rundown of all my questions with no attitude, purchased an ssd, and dropped my pc off. I used to go here as a kid with my father to buy PC games. It was a niche then and is still now. They had rare games that I still have a love and play. I bought several computers from them over the years back when buying from shops like this was better. And if I ever had any problems they usually fixed it within a few days.

Their selection is a bit dated now so I take it they do more repairs than selling parts then they used to, but they had great stuff when I used to go!

Quality 1/3 (Good): Going by today the selection is dated. The stuff isn't cheap (bad quality) but if you need older parts (I do sometimes) this is your place.

Appeal 1/3 (Good): This is more a niche place now. So while appeal is very good to me, to the general public this would be a 1.

Service 3/3 (Excellent): Back when I used to buy here the owner used to explain, show, and give feedback on problems I had with games, computer problems both software and hardware, and much more. I hope they still do this! Other than that service in general...

Need to buy a used computer for a friend and wanted to check with the owner/manager on what, if any, my options are on remotely purchasing one and having them come pick it. I understand the risks of taking credit card transactions over the phone so I wanted to see if it is an option, and if not if they would accept Venmo, CashApp etc.. anything because I am trying to help a friend.

I did not want to explain all this twice or go thru the process of picking something out only to say No at the end but "Tim" (who very well may have been the manager or owner) was very shady, not letting me know if I could talk to the manager or owner. When I explained that I was not feeling it because of how he was behaving and I was thinking about taking my business elsewhere he said "You do that" and hung up.
