I had an extremely disappointing experience at this establishment. Upon arrival, the receptionist completely ignored us. After waiting a bit, an older woman came out, and when I asked if my insurance was accepted, she quickly and dismissively said no. I had previously contacted the business via their chat feature and was told my insurance would cover 80% of the cost. When I mentioned this, she abruptly said, âThat was two years ago.â I then asked who manages the chat communications, and she replied, âI donât.â When I pressed further, she said, âProbably my boss,â and walked away.
I asked if she could please inform her boss that they are providing outdated information to potential patients, and from another roomâout of my line of sightâshe shouted back that she would. When I requested her bossâs name, she simply said, âHer card is up there.â
I left feeling deeply upset. While I am not currently a cancer patient, I do carry the BRCA2 gene, which puts me at high risk. The lack of empathy, professionalism, and basic courtesy was shockingâespecially from a place that claims to support those dealing with breast cancer. In my opinion, the staff I encountered have no business interacting with the public, let alone individuals who may already be going through such vulnerable and emotional...
Read moreWent to this store with a friend, on my Dr's recommendation. He actually gave two recommendations and I chose to visit The Pink Boutique first. (I was feeling good about this next step in my breast cancer journey) However, the hispanic girl at reception was smug and curt. She appeared to have an attitude and after a few short replies from her, I finally asked...did I catch you in a bad mood? She acted somewhat flustered and stated no. I let it go about her negative mood and asked about getting measurements and got a curt almost aggrivated reply. She went on to state that my insurance was slow to communicate with and therefore, I'd be responsible for the full $500 deductible, even though I explained that I'd already surpassed my deductible with recent surgery and multiple co-pays! She didn't waffle and expected me to write a check for $500. She then informed me that I'd have to make an appt and come another day, as they only have one measurer. My suggestion to ladies seeking pleasant compassion and respect after cancer surgery is to give "The Pink Boutique" a pass and take your needs to SMS Medical. (The staff at SMS Medical were wonderful, and I didn't need an appt). Plus, my insurance was approved right away with no...
Read moreThe people at The Pink Boutique have absolutely no idea what they are doing, which can be disastrous for a person undergoing chemo, living with lipedema/lymphedema, or trying to avoid a deadly blood clot following surgery. For one, one of the employees told me that it is not recommended I wear garments after surgery (insert flabbergasted face). Secondly, here is my last order with them and a clear display of their undeniable incompetence: I wanted 4 black pairs of petite, open toe Juzo brand stockings in size 1. After 2 weeks, I received 4 black pairs of regular size, open toe Jobst brand stockings in size 2. Not due to a shortage, or any other glitch. Someone just ordered me what they felt like ordering---I asked them to put in the correct order. And when I called to confirm that my order had been put in, I was told there was a factory back order and that the factory would not have these stockings until the end of the month, at which point it would then take another 2 weeks to receive the stockings (that is a 4 week delay, which is no good for someone trying to recover from surgery). FOR YOUR HEALTH AND WELLBEING (AND YOUR SANITY), AVOID THE PINK BOUTIQUE...
