Really disappointing that I was towed for parking in the Grove Hill shopping center. I ate brunch at Ida Claire and did not see the small no parking signs on the property. The owner of Grove Hill clothing store should have the decency to put cones or a barrier between Ida Claire and your parking lot. There were multiple tow trucks towing one car after another. Total racket. I wouldn’t be surprised if the owner of Grove Hill is getting kick backs from the towing company. It cost me $237 and a very unpleasant experience. Have some class and do the right thing….The following is the reply I received from Grove Hill after leaving this review and my thoughts…”Hi! We are truly sorry that you were towed from parking your vehicle in our shopping center parking lot. There are multiple signs posted and the barriers we put up get removed from people who choose disregard that this is not restaurant parking. During daily hours this lot is exclusively reserved for the three businesses and their customers. After hours, the restaurant is able to use this for overflow parking. In addition, we absolutely do not receive "kick backs" from the towing company. (: We have asked the owners/manager of Ida Claire to please post additional signage at the entrance of the restaurant and at the hostess stand to make sure their customers are aware that they will be towed. Unfortunately, they have not done so. We will share this review with them in hopes that they will reconsider and protect their customers in the future.” My thoughts on your reply …There is a heavy duty metal pole located in your parking lot that you choose not to use to prevent cars from being towed. I don’t think you are sorry or you wouldn’t call the towing company and have cars towed from your property. Your small signs on the property are not enough. I have contacted Ida Claire for reimbursement. Should they choose to ignore me, my next step is calling local news stations and you can...
Read moreWhile San Antonio lends itself to so many major department stores, there is one particular shop that has led the way for many years. I have shopped at Grove Hill since 2001, and it should be a must stop for every woman who is conscience about her style and design. Shimmer and shine to professional and elegant, Grove Hill offers an abundant selection with beautifully blended fabrics that wear so well. A great deal of thought goes into any purchase made at market by Gretchen and her collection certainly shows it. Scarves by Brightly Twisted accessorize any outfit. Some of the jean collection to be found are, Hudson Paige, Joe's Jeans, David Kahn, Citizens of Humanity and Cookie Johnson. Other popular collections in dresses and blouses are Johnny Was, Minnie Rose and Dizzie Lizzie. If you've never worn blouses by Finley that alone is reason enough to visit Gretchen, Janye, Jamie or Jane. You will find yourself in love with these. Jewelry by Virgin Saints & Angels and gillian-julius will find you longing for more. Truly enough can not be said about either of these !! Beyond a boutique, better than the best, the store covers in excess of 6,000 sq.ft. with a comfy fire place and seating area for those who accompany you on your shopping. Alterations are always done professionally in a prompt and timely manner. Grove Hill has become my only stop...
