First off "Chicken katsu is Japanese-style fried chicken...can also be used to make tonkatsu by using pork cutlets instead of chicken. Serve with white rice and tonkatsu sauce."
I've gone here several times. However, I just got back from there and it looks like they have had turnover.
I ordered via phone and the young lady on the other end did not know what I was ordering and decided to give me a curry katsu - rather than a regular chicken katsu. I had to repeat this order 3-4 times, and she had to check with someone who directed her to curry katsu. I tried to order miso soup but they discontinued it according to the young lady on the phone. Also, I ordered Salmon Fire Roll - they did not put any sauces in the to go bag, thankfully I asked for spicy mayo and the young lady gave another sauce that I had not asked for. After waiting for 30 mins and excited for dinner, I got home and opened my dinner and BAM - the smell of curry. I do not have anything against curry - the thing is that, that is not what I ordered.
So, I called the restaurant back and told them that I had just picked up and that they had given me curry katsu. The employee got the manager, Marcello, on the line and the guy said that I ordered curry katsu - which, I did not. He was never on the phone. Not only that, he said that there was no other Katsu other than curry katsu. So, I told him it is literally the same thing just without the curry. He then tried to get me to buy what I wanted at a discount, when I literally did not order curry katsu. There was a lot of going back and forth between him making my dinner right and my partner on the phone with him (really bad customer service).
Also, I noticed the workers in the bar area gossiping rather than providing customer service. Suffice to say, I will not...
Read moreI write this with the utmost respect. This establishment has both the 30.06 and 30.07 sign posted on their front door which usually means that the ownership either doesn't get the implications or just simply hates guns and believes as many do that all guns are just evil. Please understand I wholeheartedly support their right to post these signs but as my wife and I walked up to dine there last night we just did a U-turn and went across the parking lot to another restaurant when we saw both signs.
for anyone who is not familiar the 30.07 sign prohibits anyone (legally licensed) to open carry a firearm inside. the 30.06 sign prohibits anyone from carrying a concealed weapon inside. Myself and most responsible gun owners can appreciate the 30.07 sign, open carry can make lots of people uneasy and most of us appreciate this position. However most (75% ish) of public mass shootings happen in "safe zones" like this place where guns are not allowed. Hence the 30.06 sign in addition to the .07 means no guns allowed period! and this is the type of establishment is what a perpetrator is going to target because nobody there can defend themselves. Like I said, they are completely entitled to restrict this and I support that but likewise I will not put myself in a position where I cannot defend myself when I have other options. Also, out of respect for the establishment I won't bring my self defense weapon into their building, but I'm also not going to expose myself the the added threat factor of being in a "safe zone" that is anything but. Even if you're not into guns, as a patron you should be aware of the...
Read moreLet me start with one thing, the food was very good, the service on the other hand, was not. This is extremely upsetting because me and my girlfriend absolutely love this place and have been going here for a long time. Our server on this particular trip, Jasmine, was the downfall of our love to this place. To start things off, I feel that every time she would walk by our table, she made a certain face that would otherwise give a sour feeling. Then, our check to end was around 17 dollars, and we paid with cash. Jasmine had said it was perfectly fine to pay with cash. When we gave her our money, she asked “do you want your change?”, who asks that? Of course I want my change stop asking for money. To add to that, when she came back she gave us a SINGLE dollar and said “we don’t have change sooooooo” and walked away! Didn’t even apologize. Hello? If you “have no change” then ask me to pay with a card and NOT cash, like you could have told me that you have “no change”. We decided to leave and call the manager, and he said that they, in fact, DID have a full register of change, and that she decided to just not give us our change, hello Jasmine?? The manager was understanding and said that he could give us our correct change back and that he would put his hands on this matter. But just in case that anyone reads this and goes there, watch out for Jasmine because she will steal your money pocket your change. Never will...
