First and most annoying is there's not enough parking, there would be a separate section of parking for motorcycles a freaking hate thinking I got lucky with a parking spot only to come into full viewing a God Damn motor cycle taking up an ENTIRE parking spot, you can fit 3 to 4 motor cycles in 1 damn parking space but other than that I mean, it's a courthouse, what kind of an experience do you think people have there, as far as business, I only go there to conduct business after 2:30pm or 3:pm and that's because most court and other unfortunate business is done for the day so there's no lines or crowds of unhappy people, it's relatively empty, all the security at the metal detectors are all literally sitting playing on their phones while on the clock getting paid (,must be nice) Thats San Bernardino county for ya I guess. Anyway my most recent experience was Tuesday January 2nd 2024 on the 2nd floor, I came to see if I had a court date for a wrongful arrest from an assault when it was actually self defense and was in and out of there in no time. There was no record of me in the system or any court date so it was a rare pleasant experience.the woman the assisted me was very professional and checked on everything I needed efficiently, she was a great help I didn't get her name but she was fantastic, no attitude, I didnt get that "I don't care" vibe I do from most of them. Sweet gal. Other than that I'm sure the courthouse speaks for itself when it comes to an...
Read moreUnless you are here for jury duty, and quite possibly then too, it's not a fun experience. Depending on what day of the week you need to be here will dictate what time you arrive if you want to park in the parking lot. I recommend arrive at 7am for an 830 check in time. If you are handicapped that doesn't guarantee a place to park. The designated parking for the disabled is usually full before the rest of the lot. Leave anything you don't need in court at home or your car. It will make going the the security check as easy as it can be. As you wait and wait for the wheels of justice to turn you'll have ample time to appreciate the views from the upper story windows, the clean well stocked restrooms on every floor, and the courteous, helpful deputy sheriffs who serve as bailiffs in the courtrooms. If you can not afford a private attorney to represent you you'll meet the public defender. Then you will really see how deep the rabbit hole of stupidity goes. Hopefully for whatever reason you are required to visit this bastion of justice and liberty it gets resolved in your favor and you don't end up sucked into the system that sets you up to fail at getting free...
Read moreThis place is a bit of a headache. The staff is extremely polite however, they don't really help. I attempted to file an Ex Parte Application, which this is the ONLY type of filling one can do with out prior notice to the other party and without a court case number already assigned. However, I got the run a round, was told I can not submit this type of form ever! Which I know is simply wrong. Eventually I ended up having no proof of filing I did something they call "drop" (which by the way is the ONLY way the accept anything ) you take all your forms walk over to this table with a date and time stamp on it and a us postal empty box. Stamp the back of you form(s) an place in the box.. now in 14 or so days I guess it will be filled... Not sure how I am supposed to know exactly. Or the fact that my issue was an EMERGENCY made...
